Because the paper instructions in the box are apparently wrong. Also, two bars that run electric to sockets are spaced exactly the width of hardware to mount, which is a poor design choice that may lead to damaged wires, so install gently but also firmly I guess.

I bought 2 for my home remodel and although they look nice, they seem to have some play on the wall. I was hoping theyd be a bit more sturdy on the wall. Also, youll definitely need to install junction boxes in the wall if you dont have them in already. The light fixture is simple but elegant. I chose cooler LED bulbs because I like that kind of light, but a variety of bulbs will fit the socket. This does NOT come with bulbs, as some vanity lights do. I bought 2 sets - one with 3 and one with 4 lights. I haven't opened the 4 light one yet, but the 3 light one had a manufacturer's defect. Rust within 3 months of installation
The light fixture would have been perfect until it rusted 3 months after installation. Although specs say “damp rated”, the brushed nickel is not.

Light Bulb Won't stay in receptacle
Ours is no longer a four-light vanity light. Something is wrong with one of the sockets. We try to put a bulb in it and it seems that something inside is no longer lined up properly. It won't stay up inside the receptacle.

Excellent bathroom upgrade vanity
I purchased the Portfolio 4-Light Vanity Bar to replace an old chrome fixture that came standard in my home. What a nice visual upgrade! Everything included (except bulbs), easy to install. I chose the brushed nickel finish to match some Moen bathroom fixtures I recently upgraded to. Project now looks complete.

Portfolio 4-Light Vanity Light
Beautiful light. Perfect for our double vanity. Used LED light bulbs which give very good light in the vanity area. Easy installation. One globe was broken when we opened the box, but we took it back to Lowe's and exchanged it for another one. In the future I would check any glass parts before leaving the store to make sure everything is okay.

It was fairly easy to install.
I had the same fixture in a three light, brushed nickel but it was too small. This size was perfect plus I ordered the chrome instead and I prefer the look.

Portfolio 4 Light Vanity Light
Nice product. I had the previous model which had 2-pin bulbs which tended to fall out and break in the bathroom vanity/floor. Decided to go with the same model but with medium base bulbs. Saves cuts on feet from broken bulbs. This design is a huge upgrade over the first issue.

Bathroom vanity light
The fixture seems well made and sturdy. With four lights it is as wide as the six bulb builders grade light but looks much better and allows either facing up or down, we chose down to give better direct light over the sinks
