Hides everything but …

This stuff hides stains and odors from grease, water smoke etc better than any other primer. However, it has a thin consistency which makes it easy to drip and it is not easy to clean up spills, brushes, rollers. It is also pricey, but I found it when Lowe’s was offering a member discount.

Blocked Odor

I bought this primer for a cabinet that I purchased from the thrift store which had a bad odor that wouldn’t go away. I thought I was going to have to donate the cabinet back to the thrift store. This primer blocked out all of the smell. I can now paint the cabinet and use it in my kitchen. I would definitely recommend this primer to block bad odors and smells. It’s amazing!

Kilz does just as good but cheaper

I had to thin it to spray it, it seemed like it would have been fine I think I used too much air in my sprayer. I think it's overpriced

Top Quality Primer

I needed a quality primer to cover the grain and defects in a wooden door to be painted. This product worked as directed. Two coats of primer and the top coat and it looks great. This product is very thin and I suggest that a quality roller or brush is used for the best results.

Used on maple plywood and it raised grains. After sanding grains with 220 grit sandpaper surface was smooth again . 2 coat of paint and final surface looks very much professional project

Excellent Primer

The primer was comparatively expensive, but it worked well. It left a hard dry coat of primer on poor-quality white pine boards that I purchased and properly sealed the sap in. One thing to note is that the primer might require a light sanding if applied over wood that was poorly planed where feathery bits of the board remain attached to the wood. I accomplished this with a 220 grit sandpaper.

They Lie!!!

Recently finished installing OSB walls in my shop and figured with the warm weather (70+) I would seal it for painting. After researching via the web I determined Zinsser BIN was the way to go; excellent reviews on line, etc.. So I run to Lowe’s and they have 3 gallons left. Shop is less than 800sqft, so I figured as they advertise a coverage rate of 400/450 (on the can), I would be good to go-WRONG… Three gallons got me less than 3/4 way done. Worth every penny!

This is by far, the best primer I have found when renovating houses. I am currently renovating a home that was trashed by the previous tenants.
