Does not last.
We have had the system installed for less then 6 months. it stopped filtering the water about a month ago. cleaned it out, etc. no change. it stopped softening the water now as well. do not recommend and impossible to get help or file through the warranty. Lowes customer service will not help either

Dual Purpose Filter and Soft Water
This is the second one. The first one lasted about 6 years. The failure was severe enough to make the cost of repair too high. The new model has improvements to help keep that kind of failure from happening.They work very well.

Happy with Service but Not with Delivery Quality

Poor customer service.
Water softener arrived damage. When the installer opened box he showed me the damage and the softener appeared to have been dropped. Clearly a transport issue. Lowe’s said I had to return the softener to nearest Lowe’s. I asked for someone to pick it up for me and they refused. I only live 4 miles from the store. Received Broken
I was so excited to try this unit. I had all my plumbing done and waiting on the unit. It arrived via FedEx at 8 pm after I had to leave. Opened the next morning to find the unit broken. I can't believe you would send something like this through FedEx! Now I'm scared to order another one.

Not a long term solution.
Purchased this to replace our 3 year old same model. The hybrid is the only one that takes chlorine taste out of the water. It was also the only model that I could change out without additional plumbing. The by-pass valve is a direct fit and is attached to the softener with clips. The failure on my last 2 units was the resin tank. It cracks at the top threads where the motorized mixing head attaches.

Product might be great but no real costumer servic
I bought this water softener in August, it keeps over filling and floods my basement. Costumer service has predetermined steps for you to diagnose the problem. I followed them, once we couldn't identify the problem, they just made me repeat the steps. So now I have a water softener that does not work. And they cannot send anyone to take a look at it.

Damaged goods
Unit arrived damaged! Customer service was called and not helpful at all so I had to drive 60mi to a store to return the product and order another. Wanted it delivered to the store but was told this was not an option as I wanted to check it before my plumber came to my home the second time for installation. So far out a service call, gas and an hour and a half of my time on top of the cost of the unit. Not happy with the at all!
