Cute but very bad refrigerator

I bought this because I needed for my small duplex . I thought that very well thought the inside . But, after 3 months stop cooling the fridge and make all the greaser full of ice . My food was always rotten my gallon off milk were bad in 24 hours inside . They came 5 times in 12 months from the extended guaranty una the last part now freeze in the refrigerator and not in the freezer. There is a humming, similar to loud fluorescent lights that continues on and off, so I am assuming when the cooling mechanism (compressor?) kicks in. I have a technician from Kettle Moraine Appliances, where I purchased the unit, scheduled to come out on Wednesday to take a listen.

Don't buy, poor performance and very short life.

We bought this fridge 2.5 years ago. The top portion cools poorly, always has been that way, even with their temperature control set as cold as it will go. Now the top portion (the refrigerator part) is room temperature nearly all the time, food is spoiling like it was set on the countertop instead of being refrigerated, but the door's display indicates everything is fine. DO NOT BUY

I started having trouble after 1 year. All my food would spoil unless it was in the bottom drawer. Had is serviced and then a year later it started again. refrigerator goes from 35 degrees at the bottom to 60 degrees on the top shelf. The freezer temp also fluctuates so the ice will start to melt and then refreeze as a blob. Completely failed in 18 months

I bought this unit in November 2022. In June 2024, its compressor locked up making it useless. Service tech tells me it would cost more to repair than replace. As it turns out, I had not seen the many, many reviews describing similar issues. Don’t make the mistake I made…look elsewhere for your refrigerator choice. Also, don’t expect Whirlpool to take care of you. They are aware of the issues but haven’t done anything to address them…this actually surprised me. These are “made in America” ...

Nice looking but fails to keep stuff frozen

Ive had similar issues that others have faced. This model fails to keep the freezer cold enough for ice. Has happened twice now in the past 2 years. The first time it worked after a few days. This time I'm looking for an alternative fridge. (I just noticed a plug in the freezer side which has an arrow on it indicated it can be moved. Not sure what its for. Great design, disappointing performance…

This came with my new home …. It gave out within 2 weeks! Trying to coordinate with my home warranty as I don’t know where the manufacturer’s warranty information is… first repair technician couldn’t fix it, have to get a second opinion before I can replace it. Huge pile of crap.. fiest it stop cooling and after 5000 calls to whirlpool they send a guy then it kinda worked ans he suggested I get a new fridge lol. Now it just freezes everything in cooler and freezer .. do not buy anything whirlpool.. you will regret it..garbage products

Shouldnt even get 1 star

I completely regret buying this fridge. After waiting a ridiculous amount of time for it to finally be able to be sent out from the supplier, during which time Lowe's repeatedly credited and charged my debit card without any warning. after a very cumbersome process to contact the service people and multiple multiple visits by a technician, this refrigerator continues to freeze the food. Compressor failed at 1-1/2 years.

Don’t buy this unit! The compressor on mine locked up at 18 months. The service tech says it will cost more to repair that to replace the entire unit. Whirlpool won’t stand behind what is obviously a faulty product. Note that many other reviews note the same issue. My tech says that he works on more Whirlpool than any other brand and strongly advises to stay away from them.
