I will give it the middle rating right now. The machine was purchased as a gift in 2023. It worked great until a couple months ago when it went into a drain cycle despite being on. With my googling I found out my serial number fell into the faulty control board. I called whirlpool who sent a technician out. Sure enough.. it fell right into it. Purchased August 2024. A few weeks ago it got stuck on a cycle and I couldn’t get it to stop. None of the lights were working, so I unplugged and somehow managed to start a new load by holding down on the start button. Decided to call customer service at Whirlpool. They arranged to have an appliance repair person come and fix at no charge. Apparently there has been an ongoing issue with the control board and they will take care of it. So don’t give up, call Whirlpool and at least it will get fix...

The worst of the worst...
The tub hits the outer walls of the washer during the spin cycle. The washer bangs and jerks and souonds like it's coming apart. This is NOT related to an overly heavy or off-balance load. I'm 65 years old and have owned and operated many washers over the life. This washer is cheaply made and is extremely loud. I bought this February of 2024 and it went out this November,called The Whirlpool Customer Service and found out the Control Panel was on Recall,we were informed That we have to call a Repair Service at our cost get a Part # email it to them Wait 3 months for the pt and then have Another repair Company come replace it at our cost then email the Receipt and wait Another 3 months to b Reimbersed up to 200.00. Known issue - fails around 1 year
I'm not sure why these are still being sold. I bought a home in a new build community. Everyone has these machines and SO many people have had the same issue that is detailed in other reviews. The control board fails. It gets stuck on a spin/drain cycle and won't stop. Many failed shortly after the 12 month warranty and didn't get help from Whirlpool. I'm off to have the same battle now after just 17 months of use.

Disappointed
I bought this unit June 24. In Oct 25, we started having issues where the unit will not click over into spin cycle unless on normal mode. After investigation with chatGPT, I have narrowed it down to a circuit board issued. My prior Whirlpool lasted 17 years with almost no issues. I have extremely disappointed with this unit and will not repair it or buy Whirlpool again.

Broke at 1.5 year mark!!!
Never loved it. It locks as soon as the water begins. Having to push pause/reset (3seconds) was a pain. Very diWpointed at after owning it for well shy of two years, it’s useless!! The guess is the computer is fried. It wouldn’t stop running after finishing a load. I had thought whirlpool was a good name, but I guess I was wrong.

We’ve had the washer for a month and it works great! Every basic setting you’d want. Delivery was so fast!! Ordered the night before and they dropped it off and installed at 7am the next day. Took a total of 10 minutes and they left us the boxes for our kids to play in. Very kind delivery man!

This washer is brand new in the rental home that I am in. This has to be the worst washing machine that I have ever used in my life. It does not agitate well at all it also does not fill correctly with the amount of clothes that you put in there whether it's a small load or a large load there's never enough water. Defective control panel
My machine also quit working correctly due to a defective control board just a few months past the yearly warranty. The repairman I called said that Whirlpool is supposed to cover it (for everyone) due to it being their fault. However, I’ve been unable to reach them by phone, website chat, or Facebook.
