Works Great

Bought this to do a staining job on a cedar board fence. The sprayer worked very well and was easy to use. A lot of practice information included, or you can just do that in a more inconspicuous place like I did. This sprayer made incredibly fast work out of what would have been several hours by hand. Easy cleanup and good instructions for that too. Well worth the money spent. The only (minor) negative is that the reservoir could be bigger so less frequent refilling.

What is this?

I read reviews. I watched YouTube. I did product comparison online. I even called Wagner who suggested this sprayer. I sprayed Sherwin Williams Deck Stain. I adjusted spray rates, pattern, directional spray. I fanned the stain on like I was painting a car, I used circular motion. I tried random patterning when I sprayed. All the while the canister on a brand new paint gun was dripping stain all over the place. I would spray a section, then grab a paintbrush to even out the finish in addi...

This product is a game changer in painting!

Excellent product! HIGHLY recommend. GREAT value. And so easy to use. My wood fence turned out beautifully. Enormous time saver. I'll absolutely use it again. The directions and online tutorial video were extremely helpful. If this beginner can use it...with these amazing results...anyone can!

QX5 Sprayer

I bought the QX5 paint sprayer to paint a yard swing. I had never used a paint sprayer before. This one was very easy to use. It took a lot less time to paint the swing than it would have taken to paint it with a brush.

Worked great for the job

I researched some options of sprayers for staining my fence. A lot of people recommended getting the airless sprayer because it would save time and lays a better application. But I just couldn't bring myself to pay around $400 for a tool I hope to only need to use once every 2 years or so. I watched some videos on this model and saw someone use it to stain a fence and it seemed to work fine so I took a chance on it. And I was happily surprised with how well it worked. It seemed easier to get set...

It works well, but only if it is kept clean.

Bought this to apply stain to my fence (Cabot Australian Timber Oil). Spraying is easy, but refilling is difficult and frequent. If doing a large fence, the gun only holds enough to do a couple panels before needing a refill. I bought a 5-gallon bucket of stain and had to purchase a transfer pump for easier refilling. Generally, just a messy process.

Efficient and easy to use

The spray gun performed as advertised made staining a split dog ear fence fairly easy adjustment for volume is critical and should and can only be done when applying product ( runs or too dry easy to adjust) not first Wagner product and I depend on consistent performance which they deliver

Needs Improvement

Used this sprayer once without any issues. During the second project, the sprayer stopped functioning and would not draw paint from the canister. All trouble shooting steps failed to fix the problem so I retuned it for exhange to another, more costly model. So far, the updated model seems to be working correctly

Big Time Saver

I purchased this sprayer to stain my fence and it was a game changer. I started with a paint roller which was slow. The sprayer said it could cover 5x the area and it did.

Wagner QX5

Was looking at the QX2 but decided to go with QX5 due to higher coverage. Old Wagner stopped working and needed replacement. it was worth the money. canaster holds over a quart and i sprayed water first to check spray pattern. sprayed as soon as i hit the trigger. switched over to undiluted paint and again started spraying paint as soon as i hit trigger. No waiting. made quick work with a 12 by 20 shed. clean up was simple. took less than 10 minutes. not as loud as old Wagner, sounds like a dril...
