Valspar Exterior Multi-purpose Water-based Primer ( 1-gallon ) Bundle

We got this primer for a basement floor, we had painted part of the floor without primer and the turned out blotchy, so we decided to prime the rest of it. It went on smooth and seemed to give good coverage, but when we painted the paint didn’t seem to adhere to the primer well. It could be the paint but over all the floor without primer looks better than the floor with. I would purchase it again but not for concrete.

Be prepared to wait for it to dry and harden here

We are very pleased with this Porch and Patio Paint! If you decide to use it, know that it takes a LOT longer to dry and cure than it says on the can in this area.

Great product.

First time using this primer. Works really good. Rolled it on and was impressed with the coverage. Would recommend this product. Recommend from the employee working in paint department.

Valspar paint

This paint was fine for a shed door.

Paints well, but doesn’t cover as much

Goes on nicely, but I don’t feel like it is realistic to be able to cover the suggested maximum square footage. I only got about half of that.

Electric paint mixer needed

I was surprised when I opened two different cans I purchased at two different times. Both had bubbly liquid on top and a gooey mess on the bottom. A stir stick would have taken forever and fortunately I had an electric paint mixer for my drill which took only a couple of minutes to get it to the right consistency. I applied with a roller on a block home and it didn't go on very uniform but the next round will certainly be done with a sprayer. It's premature if it holds up at this point.

Can't go wrong with Valspar.

Almost needs 2-3 coats.

It's a fairly thin primer, but it's priced competitively.
