If you use the right knockout, 12" lead wires are needed to clear the power switch and control module. For shorter leads, you can use wire butt splicers (usually 14 ga for a 15 A circuit, 12 ga for 20 A) to get the length needed. Lowe's has the splicers. The instructions are poorly laid out and do not mention the lead length. Also, foreign languages should be in their own sections. NOT HARD WIRED
This is a false description. Hard wired means you have bare wires coming to bare wires and a wire nut holding things together. This has some kind of connector plug that needs to be plugged into….something. IT IS NOT HARDWIRED.

Very good light, one limitation
I like the design. I'll buy more. Not so good: It's hard to connect to an existing short cable that comes in from the left side -- easiest just to turn the light around but that's just wrong (I did it anyway). Perhaps the electronics (and switches) could be more toward the center of the light?

Almost 5/5-Final step of install is difficult
When installing things around the house, the lesson that hits the hardest for me is "you get what you pay for." In some cases, when you buy the cheap product, you pay for it with a difficult installation, in other cases you pay for it in quality. Luckily this was the former. Everything installs without a hitch on these lights until the final step. Excellent Lighting Option
I had an older fluorescent under counter fixture that stopped working. I had replaced others in the house, but I was new to this model. It was extremely easy to install. Took about 30 minutes from removal of the old and install the new one. I loved the option of selecting the light intensity for the space.
Tight interior for wiring
These lights are very compact and have the ability to adjust the color of the light which is a nice feature. Unfortunately the compact size makes installing them very difficult. My AC wires had to enter on the right side of the fixture which is right where they placed the transformer, there simply wasn't enough room for the Romex and the splicing connectors to fit in the space that was available. Wonderful Light Bar
This model is very nice, has 4 light settings and an on/off switch. I had to replace four 20 year old fluorescent lightings, under the cabinets, that kept burning out. I bought this model that is hard wired into the electric switch. I love it. It made my kitchen look new and larger. Now I can see very well without the lighting over my head.
