Great Product, Terrible Buying Experience

Let me be clear, the TimberTech Azek PVC decking is a premium product that looks great. You won’t be disappointed if you choose it. That said, the process of trying to buy it through Lowe’s is a NIGHTMARE. So pretty… for a day. Then scratches horribly!!

We chose Azek Vintage in Coastline over TREX because of the lighter color options and the more natural look. It looked great on the first day, but I’ve been so disappointed with the horrible scratching. The material is way too soft for its intended use. We don’t baby our deck (and for an outdoor product at this price point, we shouldn’t have to), but we are careful with it. Great decking - Some inconsistent fading

We self-installed the "English Walnut" boards for our deck and gazebo project. The look is very good and has survived our 110 degree summers and given us a great outdoor living room. The boards were very easy to install and easy to cut/trim. One of the boards arrived with a chunk of gypsum board embedded in the grooves, but we trimmed that piece and lived with a joint at the back of the deck. expands and contracts a lot

I used the 1x6 deck boards to "picture frame" a porch. The main porch floor is AZEK tongue and groove boards. I was very careful with my miters and butt joints on the picture frame. When I came back the next day I had about a 3/16 in gap in my butt joints. I reworked them tight again and they walked overnight once again. warped boards

The boards warped and sagged within a year of purchasing. I am hoping to see if there is some sort of warranty replacement option - we only chose this product because we were hoping for a long lasting deck - but might need to replace it after only a few years :(

Poor Quality

Given the price (and misplaced hype), we expected it to be much better than wood and it's just not. We've had it for about 6 months and there are stains from being near the grill, the board bend noticeably when you step on them and this is causing seams to open up on the stairs. The boards also just feel really soft. I can't imagine it lasts more than a few years and we will replace with wood.

Inferior to Wood

I installed it on our deck about 4 or 5 months ago and am not particularly pleased. It looks good, but it's a lot more flexible than wood. It also has stains from grease and minor scratches from our dogs. The material just seems really soft and low quality. I find it hard to believe that it will last more than 5-10 years without looking awful. Ultimately, it is much more expensive than wood ($110 vs $20 per 16 ft board), but is inferior.

Delivered while raining, slipped off the lift in middle of the road. Damaged three of the 20' boards. They are expensive. Sadly damaged the faces and in the middle section of the board. Too big for me to return to store.

Highly Recommend

Used these boards as top rails over a porch railing. Super easy to install, look fantastic, and low maintenance. With the Cortex screw and plugs, the screw holes are virtually invisible. Great for humid environments where wood tends to mildew and rot. Imho, the Azek Vintage line is by far the best looking of the pvc deck boards.
