TOUGHBUILT Reload Utility Knife and 50-Blade Payload Pack

Toughbuilt Reload Utility Knife

I couldn’t get the blade to extend from the first Toughbuilt Reload Utility Knife, so I ejected the blade magazine and out popped the magazine, along with a spring and pawn (see photo)! On my next trip to Lowes, they replaced this defective example with no hassle. The replacement knife has worked just fine without issue, but I wonder how durable this knife will be, considering the additional mechanisms it has compared to the traditional single load utility knife. This knife feels hefty, with...

Moving On.. "lose of products "

The tool itself is great... very functional. But the lack of in store products presents for the Toughbuilt line has me disappointed and no confidence in Lowes as a trusted supplier for my needs. The removal of Toughbuilt and now Flex has me now looking to other vendors and supplier to provide my business needs.....

I have mixed feelings about this knife

Innovative feature of having two "magazines" with a different type of blade in them. The magazines are easy enough to eject and load, and the "1, 2, 3" indicator on the butt end of the magazine tells you at a glance what type of blade you have loaded. I strongly recommend that you open the packing by cutting around the plastic on the front (see photo) because you will want to preserve the integrity of the instructions that are on the back side of the package (see photo). The knife has a good,...

Easy to store and change the blades

I could have used this knife to open the package it came. That being said, I had another small knife and was able to extract it by cutting around the edges of the sealed packing. It comes with 2 magazines, which will immediately remind gun owners of their pistols and bullet magazine. The magazines each hold 2 blades to start you off. One contains straight blades, and other hooked blades. It comes with a lifetime warranty. The back of the package has a code you can scan to register the knife,...

Superior Utility Knife

By far the most awesome, boss utility knife that I've ever owned or seen on the market. Where has this been all of my life!!! I needed to use it right away and it far exceeded my expectations. I was working on replacing an anti-siphoning valve for my sprinkler system and I needed a make-shift cover. So, I found a sturdy plastic container that I wanted to cut to fit over my valve. Well, I got my Toughbuilt Utility Knife out and it sunk into the plastic like melted butter...so much so that I ...

Sends Blades Flying Out

At first I was extremely excited to receive the utility knife, but unfortunately that excitement was short lived, and turned into disappointed. Within a day of having this product, sometimes, the the blade slider will send the razor flying out of the utility knife - thankfully only damaging my floor. To be honest though, I'm more upset about the fact that the product seems to have some defect with it than I am with the floor. If it weren't for the issue with the razors flying after extending t...

Great product.

Pros Fit, form and feel are my favorite factors. Certain thinks I like to have weight and a knife is one. It’s not overbearing. All mechanisms seems to be working great like the mag eject mechanism, the blade release mechanism, and the blade deploy slide. Cons The magazines seem to be fragile. I dropped one from belt position and the clip that holds the five blades up front fell out. I refluxed it and it’s fine but it’s thing that happened. And that reload didn’t function properly till I fixed ...

Not your grandfather’s box cutter!

This is big and beefy with a combination of metal and grippy plastic outside. The blades are stored in two included removable magazines. I guess you could call them hi-cap mags since they hold fifteen blades each; five up front and ten more in a storage pouch in the back of the magazine. I love how the mags insert and release via a release lever not unlike a Sig 2022 slide release. The magazine pops free when released. You can remove a used blade without having to remove the magazine or tak...

TOUGHBUILT utility knife

This is a heavy duty utility knife! Although I haven’t started any projects that require a knife, I look forward to using this one. I think the best feature I like about this knife are the two blade magazines that come preloaded and ready to use. They slide into the knife just like a semi-auto pistol magazine, and as you use up the blade, they are easily changeable (with a slide of your thumb) in order to keep moving without having to stop and change blades. Additionally there is a storage compa...

The Future of Utility Knives

I am convinced some people just like to complain about anything. If you are on the fence about this utility knife, this knife feels great in the hands. If lay linoleum tiles and I am cutting all day. This tool allows me to carry at several blades within the tool and change them in a snap. Anyone writing a comment about blades flying is probably not loading the tool correctly. Compared to all the other knives, this one feels like you are getting your money's worth! I've dropped it, thrown ...
