Bought this Shop Vac to use for my surface planer. Looked very closely at the Rigid vacs as I do have one and like it. Comparing the two vacs, settled on the Shop Vac for a couple of reasons. Looking the horse power, even though the two had similar HP ratings, I find the truth is in the AMP draw. There the Rigid was a full amp under the Shop Vac. Less AMPs means not as strong. Great Vacuum, Terrible Hose

Bought mine almost a year ago and used it for a variety of medium duty tasks. I bought the 16 gallon, 6.5 HP because it was the largest and most powerful model at Lowe's without the steel finish that would inevitably get banged up over time. It's a great machine. The included accessories are good. The bag traps fine drywall dust well. The filters are good. The machine runs well. Best shopvac I've owned

I originally purchased a Ridgid 6 gallon shop vac from HD mainly to be used around the garage/ shop and for cleaning out our cars. I also wanted to use it for dust collection on my Miter saw. Ready to use out of the box

I purchased this wet dry vac expecting just ok as it was not the ,most expensive shop vac that Lowes sells. I was very happy that the vac was already set up after taking it out of the box. Got this sucker for pulling water off the floor in my basement as the fight to keep it dry is a seemingly never ending battle. It sucks in the best of ways

Picked this vacuum up after doing a lot of research and reading many reviews and stats. I wanted a vac with good capacity, and as much water lift as I could get within reason. Through all my research, this unit had the best balance between flow (cfm) and suction power (inches of water lift). Perfect for my needs

My metal Blue Hawk 5 gallon shop vac died - the bin rusted through, so I was in the market for a new one. I wanted at least 14 gallons, and a 2.5" tube. Shop Vac 6.5 hp garbage

Shop Vac is absolute GARBAGE!!! Gave it Five stars in the hope of getting this bad review through. Not blaming Lowe's, but Shop Vac is not functional. From bad hoses to unusable attachments to no power. Do not waste your money!!! If the hoses aren't falling off the canister, the attachments are falling off the hose. Awesome Suction

I gave it 5 stars because of how well it performs, it does have short comings. It has the typical casters that don't perform the way they should, but like all other shop vacs that I own or have owned they don't provide rolling of the vac even around on a smooth surface. The foam filter is smaller than required so it does't fit over the filter, this problem has been mentioned by other reviewers and still has yet to be rectified, small problems like these don't effect the performance of the vacuum...
