What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise this product for its exceptional effectiveness in preventing sun fading and repelling water from outdoor fabrics. Most report that cushions, umbrellas, and flags retain their original color for months or years, even in extreme UV environments. The spray application is consistently described as easy, even, and fast-drying with no residue. Water beads and rolls off treated surfaces reliably, keeping cushions and awnings dry. While most find results long-lasting, some note that reapplication may be needed seasonally or after heavy use. Overall, reviewers consider it a trusted, worthwhile investment for protecting outdoor textiles.

I brought this a little over a month ago and so far it's doing it's job the rain slides right off and the sun hasn't faded it yet. I did spray it twice. It didn't take long to spray or for it to dry. I sprayed my umbrella twice and I still got a half of can.

cushion protector

I bought this to treat my ourdoor cushions on patio furniture. The fabric is off white, so would get dirty quite easliy. So far this product has helped protect from stains and appears to aid in repelling water.

one of the the most fraudulent products

Would Not Recommend

This is one of the the most fraudulent and misleading product I have ever bought and couldn't believe it was from 3m. This product 100% does NOT shield from the sun. I applied it to a green shamrock wreath for my front door, and the wreath turned yellow from the sun. I reported it to 3m and they didn't do anything about it. When I asked them, they stated this product has NO UV rating and they had no explanation as to why or how this product is supposed to "shield" from the sun. I suggested they ...

Keeping flags and bunting from fading

Would Recommend

I needed to protect my cloth bunting from the sun so it won't fade. So far, so good. We haven't had much rain so I can't tell how water repellent it will be.

There is a discrepancy here

So as far as the product goes it seems like it does very good it's Scotch Guard made by 3M which is an amazing company that makes amazing products. The problem I have is that on this listing on this site that it says it protects Fabrics an "leather" but when you actually get the can and you read it it says do not use on carpet, Leather, finished wood or plastic. So here it says you can use it on leather on the bottle it says you can't.. But aside from that I have got it and I have put it on my...
