Could any Scotch-Brite product be worse than this?

I'm a huge Scotch-Brite fan. But for the life of me I can't understand who designed this, how it passed any kind of critical review, how it continues to get sold, and how it gets anything other than one star. It's a great idea with an incredibly flawed design and implementation. I'm serious… this is a horrible product and simply not up to the Scotch-Brite standard. Pretty good!

Just purchased another one - like it pretty well. Have not had the issues of the sponge falling off that others have noted, but I don’t use it in really narrow bottles. Think that the sponges should be available for refills, much like a Swiffer duster - would be more ecologically and economically friendly.

I purchased this on 09/21/2024 and used the next day to clean a wide mouth 40oz water bottle. The sponge came off the handle. Then I realized it was a mistake that I purchased this bottle brush with such attaching poor technique, just grooves to hold the sponge! A sponge when it gets wet absorbs more water and becomes heavy and can easily come off the grooves of a plastic handle. The design has a huge flaw that needs to be fixed.
