Schluter system
Schluter shower floor, who knew styrofoam could be so strong and expensive at the same time! When fully installed should be waterproof and completely sealed. Drainage lines are perfect for directing flow.

It's not that Schluter is a bad product or anything. After countless hours of research and YouTube videos before starting this project, the consensus was that Schluter is the standard bearer for waterproofing shower systems...and for the price they had better be. I am not a professional. Not even close to it. I don't pretend to be. But this is also not my first DIY. The best way to make a shower
If you’re creating a shower use this. Previously. I have done shower beds with mortar. This is much easier. It sets the drainage incline evenly. All the components are high quality.
Worth the Price
This kit provides a fantastic foundation for a tiled shower floor. The included membrane, pre-sloped shower tray, and curb work together perfectly, giving you confidence in the waterproofing. It's truly a comprehensive system that takes the guesswork out of building a shower base. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is the PVC flange. While it works fine, a higher-quality metal flange would have made this already excellent kit absolutely perfect for the price.

Great product and very easy to use. Instruction were easy to read.
My issue with this product is that there is the same exact kit sold online only, by Lowes, that comes with the drain grate, and it cost less! The Model is # KSK9651525SPVCE. It is the exact same product that comes with the grate for for $614 compared to $619 + $60 for the grate. How does that make sense? Only difference is it wont be in the store, which is where I bought the kit.
