Pleased with smart features and aesthetics

I chose this particular color and style for matching a smart lock to a 1949 1.5-story bungalow. I use primarily Apple HomeKey but also appreciate the keypad. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Schlage Encode Plus was a perfect addition to our vacation home. It allows us to create unique codes for each family member as well as service workers who may need entry to the house, and we are alerted when each code is used so we know who’s there!

Need to be more durable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our third one in four years. Unfortunately, durability has been an issue. We’ve had to replace three locks in just four years. The battery life also gets progressively worse over time. Eventually, even brand-new batteries only last a few days before needing to be replaced. Wi-Fi connectivity is great App is intuitive Installation was straightforward, but based on our experience, the long-term reliability has been disappointing.

Good lock, but gets loose and rotates!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to install, works well. Use is at a summer cottage. Makes it easier to have friends and other family visit. The only 2 issues have been that the lock over time gets loose and twists even though you really tighten it up. It is mounted to a modern Fiberglass door. It would be a good idea if they put some small spikes to dig in slightly to the door. This way when the case is snuggled down with mini spike at the contact edge it will prevent ...
