What Customers Are Saying
The product offers a smooth application, quick drying time, and a matte, textured finish that transforms old furniture into vintage-inspired pieces. Customers praise the wide range of color options, with the navy blue and classic white being particularly popular. The paint covers well, even over dark colors, and only requires one or two coats. The water-based formula and easy cleanup are also noted as benefits. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have painted a lot of furniture and tried quite a few furniture paints, so I was excited to try out Rustoleum Milk Paint. I tested this paint on a scrap of old trim with a similar finish to old wood furniture. I used the navy paint and it is much, much brighter in the can than the final color so don't be alarmed. It darkens a lot as it dries. The first coat went on smoothly with pretty good coverage. This is a buildable paint, so after the fi...

Super cool-
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this- Cool, flat milk paint colors from a company who knows how to make great paint. I've painted for years, and often suffered poor wear or disappointing finish from trendy brands of milk paint. But Rustoleum got it right. Easy application, dries quick, and the finish gives a really lovely matte antique but sylish finish. I haven't had it long, so I can't speak to durability, but believe the Rustoleum name will prove this paint worthy...

Terrible Durability
This paint is the worst quality paint I have used in 7 years as a professional carpenter. I used this paint for a customer as they specifically requested to match with this exact paint. The wood was meticulously sanded, primed, and sanded again before applying the paint. The paint chips and falls off by just looking at the wood. Top coating with a sealer does nothing as the adhesion of the milk paint itself is terrible. DO NOT USE THIS PAINT.
Smooth nice paint
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've use many chalk paints before... so was excited to try this milk paint, definitely found it was really nice to use! It seems smoother then I expected mixed up easily as well as gave a nice finish to my project. Used a nylon brush to Paint and it seemed to go on easy enough and smoothly. The can was easy to open as well as close and the navy color is rich and a good match for my shelf cabinet in laundry room. Will definitely look to use ...

Perfect DIY product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love giving a used piece of furniture a second life, but I am not a professional restorer so my skill set and time available for projects is limited. I am really loving Rust-Oleum milk paint for just such projects! With such minimum prep work I can easily just tackle a re-do and the rustic, textured look makes application not intimidating. I re-did a entryway table in minimal time and with minimal effort. I used the navy color and with the...

Beautiful finish and color
I LOVE the finish that came out on this. Its perfect. I looks grey when painted on, but dont worry, it will darken when its dry. The one think i didnt like about it was that it chipped and scratched easily. I thought it was not suppose to, but that could be my own mistake. I just put a wax top coat on it, so hopefully it wont chip near as easily. We will see!

Just, No.
This was not my first experience with Milk Paint, but it was my first time using this particular brand. It’s difficult to find other suppliers of Milk Paint in my area so my decision to purchase Rustoleum was solely based on convenience. That being said, I was bitterly disappointed in the quality of this paint. It was basically tinted water. After spending hours researching how to improve the consistency of the paint, I ultimately gave up & decided to spend the extra money and purchase another b...

Redo your old furniture
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this on a couple of old bookshelves I had and they turned out great. The bookshelves were black with grey shelves and doors so I just painted the black blue to make them blue and grey. It went from "I should give these away" to "these are awesome" pretty quickly.

Worked well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time working with milk paint. I have used many types of paint before but never milk paint. It was relatively easy to work with and the project turned out well. The color was slightly more black looking than I was hoping for but it worked out really well overall. I’d use this paint again.

Good Versatility
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This paint is great because you can use it in light coats and create a whitewash or you can use thick coats and have more of a traditional paint. I got the navy paint and used it to refinish some old furniture and it looks beautiful. The color is stunning. This paint goes on smoothly and I love the finish.
