A lot cooler to work on then black felt !
RB Synthetic Roofing Underlayment, Just recently started using synthetic underlayment instead of standard roofing felt. A much superior product then 15 or 30 lb black felt. First of all it is lightweight and easier to handle on steep roofs , The grey color is a bonus because it stays a lot cooler to work on then black felt.
