nicely made. seems light duty

screw holes for mounting are about 1/4" diameter. this makes accurate locating for mounting several uprights in a series using a typical #8-9 screws difficult to center & the screw heads are almost the same diameter as the holes. these uprights seem thin and may spread out if screws are over tightened. these don't have a load rating. the shelf brackets i brought are rated @ over 100 lbs/pair. not sure how well these uprights will hold up.

Not what I expected

This product was not what I expected. The metal is thinner and the "U" track is small. Why does this matter? when you put a shelf arm on this, the downward pressure causes the upright to arc. Because of its light weight, I would not recommend more than a couple of pounds on a shelf - or one medium book. For some applications, this will work great, just not for my requirements.

Watch one for Shelf Uprights

I have been putting up a bunch of these and came across 2 that had holes that did not match the other shelf uprights. I didn't realize this until after I had the shelves up on the wall. Also, in the past whenever I purchased parts for this type of shelving it included anchors and screws. I didn't have to purchase them separately. It would also be nice if there was a template for the holes.

Very helpfull

Theses are very helpfull when you are not sure how far apart your shelfs will need to be in the future, you can just move the shelf bracks and the mounts stay there without having to drill new holes

No black? No problem

The black rails were out of stock so I bought these and put a couple coats of black spray paint on them. They look great and are going up on the wall this weekend!

Wrong product

Although this product is displayed with Rubbermaid products as a component to their closet systems the slots do not line up with the Rubbermaid stand. Had to go back to Lowe’s (a 45 minute round trip) to get a marching rail. It should probably be moved or noted that it is not an exact match if you want level shelves.

A strong, heavy-duty shelf upright

Simple and easy to install. I like to screw them directly into the studs. Then they will hold all the weight I might load on them

Quick Storage

I have always built my own shoe shelves out of pine. Wood has gotten more expensive and I needed a new shelf quickly as we have just moved. A couple of these 4' mounts, the 11 5/8" supports and five 48" shelves quickly got my shoes off the garage floor. And they look great.
