Kitchen Sink Stopper

I replaced an older sink stopper with this one. This one was very much improved over the old stopper.

Better than some, but that’s a low bar

I had high hopes for this drop post strainer basket. It seems to be made of quality materials, and the basket itself fits my drain more closely than the others I’ve tried. But like an elaborate conspiracy theory, it just doesn’t hold water. The O-ring is not sufficient to provide a tight seal, at least not in my deep, ridged drain. And it doesn’t really open enough to allow water to drain quickly. So it fails at both of its tasks!

Good for 4 months, then problems!

At first, I was very pleased with the quality. Bought two of these strainers/stoppers and they worked well -- at first. After 4 months, one of them started to leak. I wash dishes by hand, and the leak meant I needed to keep adding water and dish soap. Then, after 8 months, the other strainer/stopper failed. The first sign was the o-ring fell off the stopper. A few days later, the screw securing the stopper just fell out. Worst stopper/strainers I have every owned in 50+ years.

Effective strainer basket

I purchased this 3.3 inch stainless steel strainer basket several weeks ago to replace a strainer basket that had failed after many years of use. This new strainer basket seals completely and has worked well for me. You do not need to apply much force to achieve a seal, and the strainer basket works as intended to capture debris from dirty pots, pans and dishes when the sink is drained. Overall, I am very pleased with this item after a limited amount of usage.

Nice looking, but screw fell out and down the drain in less than two weeks. Threaded screw needs a lock washer and possibly locktight.

Works great!

Good quality, seals well, and works perfectly. Much better than my old strainer which was a push pin style and wouldn't stay open.

Excellent Design

Very well made and easy to clean, really an excellent design.

Decent for the money

Works better than the lightweight basket, but could be heavier and have a better seal. Won’t hold water for long periods.

Don’t hold wayer

Doesn’t work very well, the water leaks out.
