Customers overwhelmingly praise the seamless integration, intuitive app experience, and reliable performance. Most highlight effortless setup that requires no technical expertise, with the app allowing quick configuration and control from a single smartphone location. Reviewers consistently note flawless operation with no lag or connectivity issues, even when Wi-Fi is down. The compatibility with Alexa, Google Home, and Apple Home enables convenient voice control. Many love the customization flexibility—scheduling lights, changing moods, and expanding the system over time. A few mention the high cost of bulbs and wired Ethernet requirement as drawbacks, but these concerns are far outweighed by overall satisfaction and intent to purchase additional products.

I have a number of lights controlled by Google Home in my house and can compare the setup and use of those with the Philips Hue. I found the Hue to be slightly more difficult to set up but not a big problem. The app did not find the bulbs on the first try but did find them on retry. The Hue bulbs did not work as well with Google Home as expected. Initially the name I gave a bulb, like Table Lamp, was not recognized by Google Home. I could only control the bulb by calling it a Hue Ambiance l...
Can get pricey
I got this bout a month ago. The product comes well packaged in a nice compact box. It is white and comes with the plug and internet plug. I was disappointed that this was not wireless. I was also disappointed that it did not come with real directions, just a paper with some vague pictures. I like written directions. It is pretty neat to be able to turn lights on and off just using alexia but the cost of this along with the bulbs needed makes me think that flipping a switch works just ...
Leveled up my space
This bridge system was easy to setup and the instructions were straightforward. It is compatible with Google and Alexa which is helpful. It works off of a mesh network that works even when wifi is down, which is useful. I have been using this bridge in order to transform the rooms in my home to create an ambiant vibe as well as a more playful vibe in some of the rooms. The bridge is support up to 50 different lights or 12 accessories. This device is useful because it's voice-activated and I am a...
A Nifty Electronic Device
The Hue Bridge is an electronic internet and wifi capable device that operates devices like light bulbs, door bells, etc. Devices that function with the Hue Bridge hardware and the smartphone app. I'm an android person, so I downloaded the app from the Google Play Store. It was self explanatory to connect the app to the Hue Bridge Device. I use fiber optic internet that connects to my Eero device which provides internet hardware access and/or wifi access. The Hue Bridge arrived with an ethernet...
It's like the "Smart Home for Dummy's Guide"
A little background, I've recently retired and very much look forward to traveling and exploring the beautiful United States. I'm also very security minded so enter the Philips Hue family. After doing my due diligence I decided on the Hue series of home automation. I'm not very tech savvy but reviews for this item were very positive. With the App I will be able to control all lighting and TV quite easily. The Hue smart bulbs will give me the flexibility to modify my lights as if I were home. Any...
Physically Disconnected
This might be for others but it's not for me. The biggest issue for me, is that it requires a port into the wireless system and I don't have extra ports available. This would work for my needs if is instead worked off of the wireless system without the physical connection. I also ran into issues in that there wasn't sufficient available products to use with the system. In fact, I bought what I believed worked with the system, discovered it did not and when I went back there were very few off...
Great product, but is it affordable
This product is a very useful product. seams to be built as well as any quality electronics product. The most exciting use that I had for this product was to setup the on and off operation of my air compressor. The compressor is homed in an outbuilding, and i have airlines supplied underground to my shop and my garage which allows me to use the air compressor without the noise of the compressor. I used this product in conjunction with a Hue receptacle (plug) to turn off and on a relay. The relay...
Kinda surprised
Since I’m reviewing the hub I will try to restrict my comments specifically to it. It came well packaged, and everything was in the box as expected. Unpacking I found an instruction manual that had no words just pictures. I scanned a barcode that took me to better instructions. What kind of surprised me was that in this day and age, the hub requires a CAT5 cable connection directly to the router versus Wi-Fi like everything else in the world today. At least they provided the cable. After instal...
Philips Hue Bridge
The Philips Hue Bridge is a great convenient way to control turn on or off the lights in your home simply by using your phone along with the Philip Hue app. The Philips Hue Bridge is also compatible with Alexa, Apple Home and Google Home. The Hue Bridge comes with a power supply cord and a LAN connection cable. However the Philips Hue Bridge requires the use of smart bulbs, that are not included in just the Bridge purchase.
