Great design, poor quality

I really like the look of this light. It is the perfect compliment to the rest of my things. As always, I bench tested it before installing and noticed a distinct flickering, very slight but enough to be bothersome (to me). I had bought two, so I tested the other one. Same result and then, after about a minute, smoke started rising from the second one. Maybe it was just something from manufacturing that was cooking off but I disconnected them and took them back. Too bad.

PAIN IN THE A..

I've installed MANY light fixtures over the years but this was one of the worst. The mounting bracket does not line up easily or nicely with the corresponding cut outs in the body of the light itself. You're blindly pushing up and twisting and HOPING for it to line up and catch. They REALLY need to make something that has a more obvious and "positive" catch that will self guide and get a solid lock without the guess work. Fought this light for 45 minutes and pretty sure it's not even correctly l...

Perfect for small foyer; I painted it gold

This adds a modern touch to my old condo without looking out of place. The brightness and light color is perfect for a small foyer - warm and bright without being overwhelming. I spray painted it gold to match my other fixtures and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I used Krylon "Gold Leaf" in the small (3 oz) size. I wanted a rich gold that wasn't yellow but also not too brassy and this color hit the spot.

No bulbs & bright light!

I love that this light is strong enough to brighten our rooms. We replaced a chandelier that was in our laundry room and standard light fixture in our downstairs hallway. This light is flushed with the ceiling and we have no bulbs to replace.

Ceiling fixture clicking noise

I have installed this collection in some 6 apartments without issue. That said, my most recent install and resident is complaining about a clicking noise coming from the fixtures. I have heard it myself and while it seems to come from the fixture the only thing I can think of is a LED driver issue of some sort. Has anyone else heard this noise and if so what did you do about it?

Works Great - Matches my other Allen + Roth lights

I wanted an overhead desk light that matched my Allen + Roth lights that I installed in a hallway/steps a couple years ago. I don't know if they changed their name, I couldn't find this in Allen + Roth brand but this Origin21 light matches the Allen + Roth lights. Works great, easy install.

Good looking, but instructions & parts incomplete

This is a very good looking, very bright light. But the included instructions are not complete. They are missing important information. Some of the missing information is included in the online manual. But both of the manuals neglect to state that the included green screw needs to be connected to the ground wire - even though a drawing in the manual clearly shows the green screw. Both instructions state that washers should be used with the included screws, but the washers were NOT included...
