These are perfect for just what their design for. I did purchase regular 2 x 4 boards instead of pretreated lumber... But the beauty of it is, even if the these boards start to deteriorate, it 'll be so simple. To replace them. I really love the sturdiness of this, and it has a hole in the center of the brick. These blocks simply do not fit 2x whatever length boards. The openings are 1.5in or less depending on the block. All my board widths are less than 2inch wide and dont fit. Avoid disappointment and this product. Additionally, didn't appreciate the response when I called about this issue. As a loyal Lowes customer, sincerely hope they make it right tomorrow.
Basic and it does the job
It worked. It was designed to have a flat bottom that any steel rebar could poke a hole in with a few thwacks of a hammer, and it holds 2x6 planks with ease. I can't speak to the quality of pallets of these as I only needed 16 for a couple of raised beds, but it is exactly what I needed. I'll see how it holds up over the years, but right now it just works.

Perfect Corner Solution for Raised Garden Beds
These landscape blocks were exactly what I needed for the corners of my raised garden beds. They fit the aesthetic perfectly and gave the beds a clean, finished look. One small note for anyone using raw cedar boards: the block opening is dimensioned right at the board size, so you may need to trim the ends of your boards slightly to get them to seat properly. A minor extra step, but well worth it for the finished result. Highly recommend!
