Who is minding the store?

I could not use the product! After calling the manufacturer and finding out the caulk was almost 2 1/4 years out of date I returned it. Then I went to see if the same product was restocked and it was restocked with product that was 1 1/2 years out of date.

Quad Max is one of the best sealants I’ve used for windows and doors. Thick bead, great adhesion, easy to tool, and holds up in all weather. Stays flexible and doesn’t shrink. Worth the cost for exterior work.

Great construction sealant

We use it in window repair, perfect sealant glueing glass in place and works for glazing the window as well. We also use it when we are making metal connections on roofs to seal metal to metal.

DO NOT BUY QUAD MAX CAULK

This is the worse caulk I have ever used. It never allowed you to smooth it out. It seemed like it never cured. No matter what I did it just made things worse and it stuck to everything. There is NOTHING that is good about the product. Even removing it was exceedingly difficult.

for pros. DIY surprise....

I read this is the best for T1-11. It took over a week before I could paint. Humid week. It doesn't spread like caulk. It is super thick and took effort to learn how to bead it and smooth it properly. I felt like knife painting on wood with acrylic paints more than caulking.

Good features, but . . .

I like the features of this caulk, but find it very frustrating to use. It's thick, sticky and hard to work with. I chose it because I have an area on my home that is exposed to severe weather and I wanted good protection. If you happen to get it on an area you don't want, it was fairly easy to wipe it off with a paper shop towel. It might be okay if you have a small project. If I were to recommend it to a friend, it would be with a lot of caution.

Not worth it

I had used this last year with good results. Tried using it today for a large exterior window and it just came out of the tube like bits of chunky peanut butter rather than an even line. It was too thick to smooth it at all afterwards either. It just ruined 2 hours of prep work and made a huge mess. Now I have to clean it up and redo everything.

Great Product

Worked as described to seal around windows/doors. Easy to use.

Product dried up

I bought the product two days later tried to use it. The tube was dry. Both of them had to return it and get a different brand.
