Locking wheel is NOT the way to go.

More stout than the std disposable razor knife—note they sell refills for this one— but the locking wheel is a pain in the neck. Makes it difficult and slow to extend/retract the blade, especially 1-handed. Even when you loosen the wheel, dust and debris make it difficult and cumbersome to slide the blade in or out. Then you have to tighten the wheel again…it gets old fast.

Quick Knife to Use

This is a quick knife to use. I do a lot of work and have several utility knives at hand. I always prefer those with which I can make quick blade changes. This style of knife uses a break-away blade that is replaced only periodically. For all but the most demanding task, this knife is almost perfect. Having been in the sign business for over 30 years, I have had my share of knives. Most of them being disappointing but not this one. It withstands so much abuse in the shop. I needed a heavy duty utility knife that would always be sharp while I was out in the field working. This product is the perfect cutting tool. A holder on the belt would add value since it would be readily available.

Great construction knife

I really love my knife, it's the perfect size and the blades last a long time even when I use them on Drywall. I always replace my Olfa knife with another because they are just that good. My only complaint is that the ratchet is made of plastic so working in a tool abusive field it only lasts a year or so before it start to crack and fall apart. It would be nice if that part of the knife was made of metal. Other than that it's an amazing knife.
