Incomplete Delivery Slow Response

I ordered a 2-pk gate lock. Lowes delivered a single lock. I have been trying to get the discrepancy resolved since delivery on March 17 to no avail. Each agent promised to escalate with anticipated response in 24 hours. No response from Lowes after 3 calls for an update.

Only one side

I needed a locking gate latch, and I thought this product was exactly what I needed. After opening up the package, I realized it was just one side. Who puts a latch on only one side? I was also a little disappointed with the key lock. It's cheap. I will say that it was easy to install. Unfortunately, I'll be returning all 4 of the latches and buying a Barrette Outdoor Living two-sided latch.

I live in a condo complex with short dividing railings between units. My wife and I travel. EZ set up

Very good, but...

I've had one of these on each of my wrought-iron gates for about five years now, and they've worked very well. However, on the gate that gets used more, a grove has worn into the latch shank, where the locking claw engages it, so that it will not longer latch automatically when the gate closes. As I said, it lasted 4-5 years before this happened, so I guess that's not too bad, but maybe the manufacturer should have made that latch using a harder steel.

The Key is the same

I had these locks installed by the fence company when I bought my house 15 years ago. We misplaced the keys, so we purchased new locks so we had control. Come to find out, the key that is in there works my old lock from 15 years ago. This isn't very safe knowing that I can spend $30 to get a key and unlock anybody's fence that has these installed. This company might want to rethink this.
