What Customers Are Saying
The product has received mixed reviews. Some customers found it to be a durable and effective solution that securely closes screen doors, even in windy conditions. Others reported issues with the quality and functionality, such as a weak spring, improper alignment, and the included screws being too small. The overall consensus suggests the performance may be inconsistent, and customers should carefully consider their needs and be prepared to make adjustments during installation for the product to function properly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've used this type of screen door closure/catch for years. As far as I know, this is the only brand that makes this exact one, and they're sometimes hard to find unless you know of some good hardware stores. It's easy to install: just four screws. You mount it on the frame around the door, not the door inself. This one has been installed on a newer door we just put up, but we have another one installed on an older door. They generally l...

The screws are tiny, but it works.
I have a screen door on the door to the garage. I just replaced that main door and the old handle to hold the screen door closed wasn't going to fit, so I got this. I did have to notch the brick molding so this catch would sit flat and do its job. Obviously, wind is not an issue in the garage. Even so, the screws included are tiny. About 1/2 inch long. Unlike the photo, my version purchased at a Lowe's store has places for 4 screws. I used the included small screws on the back holes, but larger...

Easy to install
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these screen door catches to hold shut the door on my back porch. My porch is old and the latch for the old screen door was all rusted and broken. The wind was always swinging the door open and slamming it closed, terrifying my dog every time. I decided I had had enough of this and thought how hard could it really be to fix this? Well, it really wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. These latches were really easy to install with a coup...

Sturdy Screen and Storm Door Catch
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to easily and quickly install this catch on the door frame, and then test it with both my winter glass storm door insert, and the screen door insert I use for the spring and summer months. Both doors, one heavy and one considerably lighter, shut easily and stay closed even on windy days (whereas the screen/storm door would swing open and bang with the previous old, worn-out latch.) Problem solved with this high quality, steel and we...

Works as intended.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This catch is well made and seems to be of heavy duty quality. Was pretty quick and easy to install. We are using it on the storm door at our front entrance and it keeps the door closed even with high winds, or dogs jumping at it within reason. The catch was a bit tough at first but nothing a bit of oil couldn't fix. Overall I am happy with this product.

Difficult install, Hard Catch
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a hard time getting this to install properly on the frame and then when it finally was on securely, it wouldn't securely catch the door, allowing it to swing. I am afraid that I instaled it incorrectly, however the instructions weren't very clear to me. I would say I am unsure if this is product or operator failure at this point.. Either way, I am not a fan.

Good Product - Does the Trick
My screen door was a bit bowed/warped (not uncommon). Even after a put a spring on the door, there was a gap at the top, though the bottom closed flush. Mounted this door closer at the top and problem resolved. The spring-load arm in the closer provides just enough force to hold the top of the door closed. I kept the spring on the door and it's a great combination - the spring pulls the door closed and the closer keeps it closed. Couple of minor issues: (1) the included screws were quite small s...

Strong latch
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Dad has a door that will not stay shut. The Screen Door Catch is both sturdy and well made. It is made of steel with a strong rubber roller. This spring at the hinge is tight and can be oiled for smoother movement. Picture direction on installation are included using a drill and screwdriver. Comes with the door catch and needed screws. Works great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used these for a home diy project. A few months ago, my screen door shattered, so I had no choice but to replace it. These screen door catches work great! My screen door before, would come open and beat against the house when we would experience high winds. That sound would annoy me so bad. I no longer have to hear that again!
