Just what I needed

I changed my bathroom door from a hinged door to a pocket door to yield a little more bathroom space.. I planned on using the original door and a pocket door lockset. The door is a 1 3/8s door that was drilled for a standard entry door set. The pocket door lock set I had did not fully cover the hole for the old door set. Tried it and wasn't worth it

The lock assembly is really slim looking and nice but the locking mechanism straight up doesn't function properly. There's some sorta cheap extension that's built into the lock instead of the traditional extension you can twist on and off. I honestly don't know what they were thinking. They manufacturers must have known it didnt worth and pushed it out anyways.

Not as nice as it looks.

Not like I thought it would be. I should've just notched the door and put the olg square style in and been done. This has very minimal edges to grab to pull open or closed.

Poorly designed.

Looks okay but I experienced several issues with the functionality of the lock. The mechanism would separate slightly inside the door when trying to lock it. I had to modify the opening adding a screw inside the door to prevent movement and separation. Poor design or manufacturing quality. Do not buy the National brand for your pocket door

I installed the National brand on my pocket door. The Opener was hard to open, close, and made a loud noise when locking back! I have returned this product for a refund.

Pocket Door Lockset works great

I purchased this hardware for a new wood and glass bathroom pocket door. The machining is pretty standard if you're familiar with similar latchset installations. That said, alignment of the striking mechanism is critical, so be sure to follow instructions. I bored the installation holes on the door before I hung it, which made life much easier. Very clever

I showed this thing to three different Lowes associated and they were all as puzzled as I was: “How would a deadbolt hold a sliding pocket door?” Bought it anyway and it’s quite clever when full engaged a little hook comes out and catches the strike plate. Given that we were converting a standard door to a pocket door and this it already had the round hole for the doorknob, this was a perfect solution and didn’t require me to notch the door

Availability in quantity and good price

This design of pocket door lock is not designed for everyday use. I'm constantly having to replace them. But I found that Lowes is the best place to get them cheaper than anywhere else and able to buy in larger quanities.

Defective material

Picked up the last one in stock. Defective product. I think someone had repackaged a return

National Hardware Pocket Door Pull

Installs like a regular door handle / latch. Installed in a solid door which was too heavy to open by pulling latch. Good sturdy hardware, locking function excellent but only able to open from one side. Mostly meets all expectations, main selling point was able to directly install in the pre bored holes.
