Failed in two years
I purchased the Moen Flo Smart Water Monitor (3/4) on 1/11/23 and it failed on 4/13/25 — barely over two years later. I have their subscription service, which thankfully extends the warranty. After reporting the issue, they sent me a replacement turbine for free, but even after installing it, the unit still did not work. It is now 4/29/25, and they are shipping a full replacement. Installed 1” Flow Valve, easy installation. Setup Flo and five Smart Water Detectors on Flo by Moen app, on iPhone. This affords me such great piece of mind. IT seems to water pressure sensor is a bit off from a real analog gauge in my testing, but overall, this is a quality item anyone should have if they are away from their home for long stretches of time.

Very strange and annoying water shuttle off.
Very confusing user interface in its app. For some reasons, it shuts off water when we are home and using water. It has its own logic to think that a there is a water leak during regular water use.

Worked great for while but the app...ugh
I have the product installed in 3 homes. I got great customer service when I had an issue installing the 3rd one. The app is my biggest complaint. I ensure I have the latest version of the appThe "Usage by Fixture" tile just says "loading" and never displays the data. The Sensor Trends no longer work. WiFi
The most challenging process of the Moen is the connection to our phones. It will not recognize Our scan code and does not connect to the app on our phone. So our system is working on the house. But the WiFi is not allowing it to connect to our phones. I have tried about 5 times calling and have waited for over 20 minutes for assistance. No help at all from Moen. This was a very expensive item we had to have in order to get home insurance.

Worst home consumer product ever!
I’ve had the Moen Flo professionally installed in my home for close to two months now and I can say it’s the worst consumer product I’ve ever owned. The Moen Flo may work with household water systems that do not contain a water softener which regenerates/flushes between 1-3am, but if you have a water softener then you can forget about it. The good: Installation instructions are clear. The Flo seems well built, but we’ll see how durable it is after a few years of use. It stays online reliably, but installing a WIFI extender near mine probably helps. The smartphone app is nicely laid out and provides quite a bit of useful information.
