I replaced four boards on an exterior bench that consisted of 2x6 lumber. I used the Minwax wood finish stain on all sides of the boards and then placed them back on the bench. The next night it rained until the morning and the boards were exposed to the water. When I checked the boards I found that the Minwax wood finish stain protected the wood very well. I then use the Minwax Urethane to seal the wood. I now use this product on all my exterior wood projects. I highly recommend this product...

excellent product
I am in the process of re-finishing kitchen cabinets. I needed a stain to match the original color as close as possible. If this is not the original color it is so close that no one can tell the difference. It goes on great, seals nice and takes the new water based varnish very well. I have nothing negative to say about this product. As an aside, I was looking for an 8 ounce container as I have only a few cabinets to go. Lowes did not have that size in stock so they sold me the 32 ounce ca...

Minwax Wood Finish Stain "Puritan Pine"
Used stain on Birch finished plywood. Stain went on considerable darker and with a definite reddish cast. This was not the result that I desired. Since I couldn't remove the stain from the first panel, I finished the project (16 2x4' panels) I was not satisfied. However a couple of days later when the stain dried (setup) the red hue had disappeared and the color was what I desired.

Easy to use product
This was an easy product to use. I wanted to refinish my 32 year old baseboard and trim while my rooms were being redecorated. This oil was very easy to use. I followed the initial directions, then got an old clean rag, dipped it into the finish and rubbed the wood. It gave a clean polished appearance along with covering the scratch marks made over the years. I used the same procedure for new wood with the same results. Easy!

Beautiful stain
I’ve used a lot of stains and finishes to make my products but this color stain here has by far been the most popular color for my clients. They love the subtle golden brown tones mixed with some deep accents of the wood grain it’s an amazing product definitely recommend this to everyone!

Puritan Pine oil-based stain
This is a very good product and I've been using it for years. It takes unfinished pine and other woods and gives them a darker, rich look. Combined with a polyurethane finish it really makes the wood grain stand out.

Cabinet Stain
If you like a Golden Oak appearance, you want to give this a try. The Puritan Pine label may give you the impression that it is for Pine, I didn't try it on Pine so I can't comment, we used it on Alder and it looks great. We bought the smallest can for a sample

As described.
The actual finished colar may have been just a bit darker than I had anticipated but it was acceptable. Application was as expected when applied with the rags I used. Satisfied with the results.

Love Minwax stains
We have used Minwax wood finish many times when refurbishing furniture. We like the color choices and the ease of using it. We use it to stain wood and to antique painted pieces.

Wood Stain
I was staining oak to match kitchen cabinets. The color matched well. It was easy to apply as oak is fairly forgiving when it comes to staining it.
