Affordable if you already have a compressor. This is a niche tool though, only useful for doing delicate trim work, most suited to prepainted or stained crown. Use a brad nailer for trim that you can fill sand and paint, as brad nails will hold better. With pin nails, you almost always want to use glue in combination with the nails just to tack things in place as the glue does all the work once set.

Great nailer, annoying purchasing experience.
The nailer is working out great. Buying it was a nightmare though. I was looking online for a pin nailer and found this on sale at Lowes for $69, great, said one was in stock, so I headed to the store. It took a minute to get someone to open the case so I could get it. Then waited in line. When I got to the register the guy says it'll be 90 something dollars. I was like what! this is on sale. He says oh that's the online price and I have to buy it online to get it. So I pull out my phone, go th...

Awesome Pin Nailer!
I recently bought this for helping me do pattern routing. Pinning the pattern to my stock to make the product couldn't be easier. Setting the depth was easily explained in the manual and even for a large pattern four pins was strong enough to go through 1/2" ply into a 3/4" ply and held it firmly in place. Best of all the it was easy to separate the two pieces and remove the pins. Very light weight and absolutely no fatigue when using it on large projects.

Solid little tool
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for a while and use it for fine trim around the house. It is great in the hands, lightweight, and well balanced. I really appreciate the precision this tool offers. Not having to patch holes before I paint is a really nice benefit. I find that if I use the glue coated nails I don't even need adhesive on what I'm attaching. The trigger mechanism took some getting used to but for what I use it for it works quite well.

Misfires, Misfires, Misfires
Bought this pin nailer 12 months ago. Have used it maybe 4 times and it misfires everytime the pin clip gets down to 1/3 clip remaining. Noticed pin clip has a bright spot where driver is "bouncing off" of pin. If I flip the pin clip over, it'll drive more pins but not always. Guess I got what I paid for... Won't buy Matabo pneumatic any longer.
Reliable
Very compact and lite. Easy to get into tight areas. No issues with multiple brands of pin nails.

Should have had it years ago
I have been needing this for a long time. I used it to put together a wall unit where I didn't want visible nails heads. This worked perfectly. I love it.

Don't just hook it up with a regular conector
I don't really know yet. I have not been able to try it. The user's manual clearly states that under no circumstances is the tool to be used without a 'non-relieving coupler.' That's a special coupler that has an extra button on the side that you can press to allow the air pressure to bleed off. Without doing that, the tool can still fire pins after being disconnected from the compressor. it's a sorry shame that Lowe's sells a nice little tool but does not carry everything you need to take it ...
