As usual, Lowe's does it again. I purchased this saw on 12/10 utilizing the Lowe's 10x points reward. I picked it up via the curbside option during the morning of 12/12. The employee brought the saw out to the car and placed it in the trunk of my car. I did not inspect the box prior to the employee placing the boxed saw in the trunk of my car - my fault. Could have been a great little saw, but...

I just needed a cheap, basic 10" saw for my saw bench, and this one seems to fit the bill. The blade brake is pretty weak compared with other saws I have had, but everything was set up correctly and it cut squarely right out of the box. Perfect entry-level, homeowner/hobbyist/DIYer tool

This miter saw is perfect for the DIYer that has a small shop or someone like me who is working on projects out of their apartment. Pros: 1. Came dead-accurate out of the box. Positive stops all work well, and everything was square 90 degrees (or whatever angle or bevel you desire) wherever I set it. Love this product!

I needed a simple chop saw, and this particular model was on sale. I’ve read reviews of Metabo, so I expected a decent product. It surpassed my expectations. Super light and yet very powerful. Was accurate to 90 degrees out of the box. All of the components and the parts are solid and well designed. I’m looking to add other Metabo products to my shop soon.

Looks good, but ran into a couple issues

I haven't cut anything with this saw, I need a couple parts (ordered, not yet arrived) to complete setting it up for a crown molding task. It looks well made and designed. I ordered the optional left and right molding stoppers, used to prevent the molding piece from sliding down the fence when cutting "upside down and backwards." I received the left stopper, but the 6mm wing bolt won't screw in because the wing is too wide, it bumps against the saw structure. I ordered a hex screw to replace...

Awesome Miter Saw!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product a year ago and have used it on many projects around my home and work. It has done everything you could ask for out of a miter saw! Great saw for the price. Highly recommend for diy/handyman projects.

Performance

I LOVE IT !!!. Straight out of the box the preset settings were right on the money. The blade gives a good clean cut. Tore up the carpets on the upper floor and put down a floating interlocking floor. Cutting the base boards is easy and precise. The only thing that could be improved is the dust collection, Recommend using outdoors or in the garage. Would like to see Metabo offer attachments to connect a shop vac. All in All I would Highly recommend this tool !
