I bought this Marshaltown fiberglass handled rake from Lowe’s, and I’m happy to report it absolutely excels at… raking. Truly groundbreaking stuff here. It moves leaves from one place to another with remarkable consistency, and it also spreads mulch and dirt like it was specifically designed for that purpose. Very well built rake
I use Marshalltown tools everyday as a concrete finisher so thought I would try out their yard tool line. They’re a bit heavier than most other rakes I observed at Lowe’s but they’re built to be heavy duty. They come with a lifetime warranty which is an added bonus. I doubt I’ll be breaking this anytime soon with how durable they’re built but at least I’ll have peace of mind with the lifetime warranty. All in all I would say if you’re looking for a rake that’s gonna last this is it.
It’s affordable and durable
I totally loved this product (rake). I have been looking for something that I could rake rocks (pebbles) with for two years. This is it…buy it! It’s strong and worth the money. I also have an 120 plus lbs dog and he digs up my yard. Again this came in handy. This rake far exceeds my expectations. It’s very convenient and the price was right for my budget. This rake is handy for a regular woman like me or gardener plus farmers! It’s very, very durable! I loved everything about this rake!!!
Sturdy Rake!
I’ve been needing a rake for a while now and was going to purchase a cheaper one but after some consideration I chose this one and man am I happy I did! This rake is heavy duty, the welding on it is high quality and it doesn’t seem like it will snap if used with some strength. The handle is thick and not wood so it won’t rot or dry out. Everything about this rake is worth the money.
Seems quite sturdy and well made
There is a bolt where the wood meets the metal piece. This should prevent what happened with my old rake, where the metal tines pulled out of the shaft. The salesperson also told me it has a lifetime warranty so if that happens I can bring it back. So far so good. The handle is quite long, also.
Rake is sturdy, weighty without being cumbersome.
I like how sturdy this rake feels as I'm working in my newly-acquired backyard. Previous owners / flippers left lots of debris / uneven ground behind and the weight of this rake is helping level the earth well. Cushioned tip helps me keep a good grip as well.
