Lowes lowered the price on the 36,000BTU Unit by $600 recently. Happened to notice and called to see if they would credit me. Said NO! even though I purchased it in August on the 11th, 2026. Today is 9.23.26.. Buyer beware!

Cools good
Works great. Cools 900 square feet quickly. The instructions could be a bit better, because they cover several different models. Installation is pretty easy. I wish it had a true thermostat.

9k BTU mini split
I installed this in an insulated shed where I now store wine barrels to age. Despite the installation documentation being somewhat out of date, and with slight variations from the youtube videos, this was a breeze to install. I installed the compressor on a wall bracket outside and leveling it wasn't much of a problem. The unit fired right up and both the compressor and the air handler at both dead quiet. Internet connectivity was a little tricky but they have a help line if needed. Amazing...

Its ok, but way to expensive and wonky
The user manual is outdated and wrong, there are many very confusing steps that are not adequately outlined for clarity. It works well, but WAY TOO much cost when you can just get one without precharged lines and get a cheap vacuum pump at Harbor Freight. I will do that next time. Customer service is also mediocre at best and shipping was slow on another unit I cancelled. Saved over $1000 getting another brand!

Great unit for the price, cools my entire garage .
Had it for about two weeks now. It’s absolutely amazing and as easy to install as it’s says. Had an electrician to install my disconnect switch, but Installed the unit myself per the instructions and YouTube videos. Great buy!

Attic Installation
I got this 12K BTU MrCool 5thGen DIY mini split for my finished attic. Installation was straightforward with no issues. I powered it on this afternoon and so far so good. It cooled the attic down to 78 in a couple of hours with the outside temperature over 90 degrees. I am really impressed on how quiet it is. Got the wifi up and running no problem. This is an important feature for me to be able to control AC while I’m away from home. Very pleased so far.

easy to install
this is my 3rd mr cool unit. the 5th gen is a great unit. it's easy to install. only issue is had was getting it online so I can use my phone. I got it now. so since I have 3 now do I get 3 hats ?

DIY install no problem!
This unit was extremely easy to install. The step by step directions were easy to follow, scan each steps QR code brings up a video. Once the unit was installed, it performed as expected. I highly recommend this unit. Only thing that a DIY person may have an issue with is getting power run and connected as it requires work in electrical panel.

The only thing worse than MRCOOL’s build quality is their customer service. Two months after installing the first unit, we still don’t have working air conditioning.
