Not for simple problems

I purchased this product to replace a simple, single-pole, stairway switch to have 2 switches; at the top and bottom of the stairs. The existing switch wiring was simple, 2 wires; however, the new Lutron switch REQUIRED a third neutral wire. Lutron Customer Service confirmed this switch would not work for me and suggested an alternative switch (which sadly also did not work). Good remote controlled switch

I was reluctant to buy a "smart" light switch. And it is expensive. I'm glad I bought it though, I wanted a remote controlled switch, and this has worked well so far. I looked at smart light bulbs, but felt like smart light switches made more sense for my intended use. For turning a Lutron caseta smart dimmer from a single-pole into a 3-way (i.e adding another switch on the wall). No wiring involved, just hang an extra remote/switch.

Perfect solution to a difficult problem.

These remote switches were a game changer for us. After purchasing an older home we realized how important it was to have 3way switches in several locations throughout the home. LED lights glow when turned off

This is my third Lutron Caseta system. The first two are dimmable this one is just ON-OFF. The first two work flawlessly so I expected this one would also work well. My plan was to control LED outdoor string lights, however, when the lights are turned OFF they glow due to electrical leakage. Unfortunately I cannot return it because I disposed of the package. Now I’m out $65.00!
