It's a simple and effective track lighting solution. i feel the cost is low and it works well. One thing to pay attention to is the polarity of the components. There is a ground and hot side to everything. The track is marked with a groove and the heads with a plastic fin cast into the base. Make sure you rotate the fin towards the groove when installing the heads and get the orientation right with the power feed and connection splices.

DESTROYED!

This is not a reflection of the product, I have bought them before and they worked fine. My frustration is that they do not fit in my car so I ordered this. FedEx just dropped this off after running it over a few times? This is absolutely ridiculous! How do they A) do this and then B) have the nerve to actually drop it off in this condition? Now I have to figure out how to get this back to Lowes and get it replaced. Fun for me... Thanks FEDEX...

Good simple track

A good solid basic track for track lighting. You do have to buy the connector for wiring to the box separately however so be aware.

Easy to install track lighting. Good for use in areas like a basement with a black ceiling where it will blend in.

Lithonia Track Flimsy

Track is not rigid enough to hold contact with lamp pins. Copper contact rails slide out easily and are hard to put back. Spent hours mounting a dozen Lithonia track heads. Never had problems with any other brand. Very unreliable. The insustry standard Halo is much stiffer and holds electrical contact.

Very low quality

These tracks are almost impossible to use. When you try to slide a light fixture in, the track falls apart and the copper contacts come out, which are impossible to get back in. I tried this on two separate tracks and had the same problem.

Looks great. Very very bright- get a dimmer!

The installation was super easy. It took a bit to understand that to get the light on the track you have to pull down the collar to get the space needed to turn it. The finished product looks sharp. Low profile is good for lower ceilings. I mounted mine on the rafters of an exposed ceiling. I chose the small brushed nickel microphone looking light heads for my transitional/retro/bohemian/industrial decorated family room and it looks great. Shocked at how flipping bright it was!
