Great Light, Horrible Packaging

The packaging is god awful. Its a single piece of cardboard, with zero padding or protection. Every one of the 12 we bought had damage. We returned 7, kept 5, even tho they were all damaged. A single piece of foam in the box, would fix the box damage. 5 stars with foam. 3 without.

Horrible packaging

The light works very well, is affordable, but the packaging is horrible. I had to return several light that were damaged in the box. The light has no packaging around it. Hope Lowe’s gets these comments to the manufacturer. It is a known issue based on other reviews.

Excellent Fixture - Inadequate Packagfing

This Lithonia 2x4 Switchable LED Panel Light is easy to install, in part because it is lighter in weight that old-style fluorescent troffers. Its output is very smooth and even. The ability to switch the output is a super feature. Note that- 1) There is no paper installation instructions, and it is highly recommended that you download the PDF file because there are 2 extra wires that are used ONLY if you have a dimmer. 2) The packaging is very poor. Very Adaptable Light, Quality?

This light was purchased to replace one of the same that failed after 3 years. As for the performance of the light I couldn't be happier as it is very light, easy to install, and can be easily customized for color and brightness. What I didn't like is the first one only lasted 3 years. It has a 5 year warranty but who keeps the box around or the receipt for something like this? I do from now on so I will be ready if this one doesn't live up to expectations.

Buy extra and check for damage before you leave.

The lights are great when they work. We installed them in a hair salon and they looked far better than the fluorescents they replaced but many were broken from shipping/storing/handling, most were dented on the corners and some showed no damage but just flat didn't work. One unit worked once and after a power cycle worked no more. Out of the 14 I bought 8 functioned and of them I made one from two (one had a broken lens and one had lights that worked). Easy to install, but...

This light was slightly damaged in the box, but it was minor and on the back side of the assembly, so I let it ride. Even with no paper instructions, Installation was simple, black to black, white to white, green to green. However, i tried to use this light with a Lutron toggle switch dimmer, and the light would not dim properly. Return Policy is Bad

The product is typical of any flat panel light that I have and would install. My only issue is that I had to return one light for damage. I wanted to exchange the fixture for another one, but I was told I would have to return the damage light then purchase a new fixture. The only issue was that because I bought them in bulk initially, I received a discount. I received approximately $46 for returning the damaged fixture, but had to pay approximately $53 for a replacement fixture. I feel that the ...

Arrived damaged

I purchased 4 for my workshop, when I unpacked them, two of the four were damaged, the boxes showed no damage, so it wasn't from being mishandled by the delivery people, they were packed damaged from the factory.
