Two of these died within a month

We purchased this microwave twice. Within 5 days the first one was making a loud buzzing sound when it cooked. Since all the mounting hardware and holes were in place, we returned it and replaced it with a second one. Within a few weeks the second microwave lost power and will no longer function. Stay away from this model.

Exhaust fan sucks

Would Not Recommend

As far as keeping time and cooking it works well. But this is and over the stove unit w an exhaust fan that is terrible. The left side I can barely feel it sucking and the right side has no suction at all. I had a boiling pot of water on the stove and the fan literally does nothing.

First of all the suction is awful. Had it installed today and Im super disappointed. Also the door is so thick that despite it being the exact size of my replacement i have to open the left cabinet door in order to fully open the microwave. It also clearly says it has a charcoal filter and it does not. For an expensive microwave im just shocked by this. And as others have said you can’t even see whats in the microwave. The glass is super dark and the internal light is very dim. Great concept but...

I've only had the Extenda-vent LG microwave for a week. It's a fine microwave. Installation: follow the template. First attempt at install worked. HOWEVER, THE POINT OF THIS REVIEW IS to say that the description for venting on the Lowe's site is WRONG. It is not "Vertical", it is CONVERTABLE. The venting for microwaves in the kitchen of my home was built through the rear wall behind the microwave. What I partially liked, was the luck to find at least only one available in my surrounding area. Ideal I believe that should have been more than one in stock, and that it was the exact fit for my replacement. What I don't like is the fact that there is no shelf in this model, especially for it's size. So I went from heating 3 plates at the same time to just 1. The extendavent is the main selling point for us. I wanted an OTR microwave to save counter space and that could compete with an oven hood for venting power. Truthfully, it's not as quite as good as an oven hood, but it's good enough. It probably helps that i vented it up and out rather than recirculating. I purchased this microwave and arranged a delayed curbside pickup. When my husband arrived the staff looked for it but couldn’t find it. I hate this mirowave!!

I had a earlier version of this LG mirowave and loved it. I find it hard to believe an updated version went downhill so much. I highly recommend that you look for any mirowave other than this one. I can't even write all the things I dislike about it. It would be a book! I'm stuck with it due to cost and already installed...but I hate it more daily.
