Smooth install, no issues so far
My anderson storm door which has had hinge issues for years finally failed. This Larson claims to have a full piano style hinge so I gave it a try. Installation was very smooth. I don't think "quick" is an ideal word, it took 1-2 hours, but I was going slowly so I wouldn't botch it. Their scheme for mounting either way and drilling the handle holes was very good. Only one instruction was a little ambiguous and that was where to put the first screw on the handle side edge bracket. From experience...
Awful customer service
Purchased this door on June 4, scheduled install only to have install canceled the day of the scheduled install, causing me to miss work. Could not get a substitute install date until July 17…. Needless to say I returned it. They had no interest in me after the purchase was made.
A beautiful, highly functional door
Love that you can stop the door midway by a simple tap of your foot. Love how it seals so tightly keeping the outdoor weather outside. It has made a big difference in the overall ambiance of the house.

Cosmetic Damage every time
I ordered a LARSON 80 Midview (Tradewinds) storm door about 6 weeks ago and it was delivered to the Lowe's near us, two weeks after I placed the order. We were very excited to finally replace our front door storm door (after many years) with one of the high quality LARSON doors. Upon opening the box and preparing to install it - the first thing I noticed was that there were no instructions for the installation of the "EasyHang Installation door" and I was not provided the door knob I had ordered...
Squeak FEST
I've had nothing but trouble with this door, the hinges are a SQUEAK FEST. I sprayed in multiple types of lubricants on the hinges, and it keeps quiet for a bit but after using the door, the SQUEAKS come right back. The door closer I had to replace already twice in 2 years. The first one was under warranty and the second I had to pay for another one even though this door is supposed to have a 5-year warranty, yea right, read the fine print. Best Sliding Glass storm/screen door on market
No worries about retractable screens rolling into door frame that will break over time. This door has the framed glass that simply lowers to expose built in screen. Adjustable for perfect air ventilation. This Aluminum door does not have any wood core that would deteriorate over time. That was my biggest concern. Great curb appeal.

The door is solid and performs beautifully.
Prior to this install I have this exact style door on the back of the house for 20 years. It is under a covered deck, but the door is like brand new. I particularly love the retractable screen. The installer for the new door was meticulous and professional. He inspected and explained everything.

Fairly easy to install and looks amazing.
We was worried the door wasn't going to fit because the measurements of the door was different from the opening but it fit like a glove. And beside the fact that I had to drill 6 holes in aluminum with the supplied wood drill bit for the latch handles the install was fairly easy. We was going to pay to have it installed but we're glad we did it ourselves.
