I got this to take lug nuts off the camper in an emergency if a tire blows again. It has proved useful in several other occasions as well. It has plenty of power to remove lug nuts. Im happy to carry it just in case. It makes tire removal and replacement so much faster so on the side of the road it'll be safer.

Not as powerful as advertised.
Purchased this to remove a crank bolt on a Honda civic but it refused to do so. Grabbed a Makita xwt08z since I had a few batteries already (same size, weight, and even price). That did the trick instantly. Should've listened to some of the bad reviews stating the same. This ended up going back.

wow this tool is the real deal
I was going going to follow a co-worker and get a milwaukee high torque impact ,I noticed it struggled to do the job. I did some research and saw what kobalt had to offer and was amazed by the results. this cordless impact is at the top of the line for cordless impacts.

Bad Battery
I bought this Impact kit in Aug of 2023 and I have only used it a few times straight out of the gate it only charges to 3 bars but I didn't think anything about it but now it shows only 2 bars but will not charge any further, Charger shows fully charged at 2 bars now I look at other reviews and I see other people are having the same issue. This Kobalt 1/2” impact is absolutely amazing. I had bolts on my trucks brake caliper bracket we couldn’t get loose. We tried a 18” breaker bar with a long pipe (cheater bar) attached to the breaker bar and it just wasn’t going to loosen and my buddy tried using a scissor Jack to help loosen the bolts but nope it wasn’t going to loosen. Kobalt is usually on point, not this time ! I tossed mine in the trash, thank got I have 2 Kobalt Pnuematic ones that I was able to complete the job. This tool lasted less than 8 months, unacceptable ! Lost its torque and no battery made a difference. Horrible, maybe try another one another day...

Always check if you think it is used or returned.
The first item was brought out and looked like it had been there a while and also had been opened, so we asked if they could open it and the employee was very gracious said of course. Upon opening bit it was a returned item and had obviously been used ( grease on it and missing booklets and charger had been used and battery was fully charged and dirty.
