Great Multi-purpose Tool
I needed to replace the toilet in my RV and have no plumbing experience. My brother-in-law, who is a plumber, said it would be worth it to get a pex cutter. This multi-tool was the only thing left in stock, so I got it, even though it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. 100% glad I did. It cut the pex easily and has numerous other tools in the handles that I didn’t even notice were there. I’m very pleased with the purchase and believe it will come in handy many times over.

Large and not in charge
Kobalt Multi Tool When the Kobalt plumber’s multi tool arrived I was excited to try it out. I am getting ready to install irrigation for my yard and looking for tools to make it easier. First of all this tool is large! Significantly larger then most multi tools. Before we get to the cutter, what about the other tools? Awesome idea terrible quality
I saw this tool and absolutely fell in love with the idea and purchased in store on a whim. It was a good price and met a lot of my needs for the job. I have not even used it and the main blades have chips and serious imperfections. I would return it but it’s simply not worth the effort. Seriously let down by the quality of the tool.
Versatile soft tube cutters
Multiple applications in one convenient tool, great for pex or fuel/vacuum hoses , I actually picked them up thinking they would cut 1/2” cpvc without reading the soft tube cutters in the name. Oops lol 😝. But it’s like a Swiss Army knife and quite handy to leave in the junk drawer when you need it.
Convenient and handy
First off, I was surprised by the weight of the tool. It is built well and will hold up under quite a bit of force. All of the joints are easy to use and they lock into place extremely well. The overall size of the tool is convenient. It is not bulky and fits well in the hand. I also like how the blade and other tools are on the outside of the handle. A great addition to your tool belt!
As a rule, I'm not a fan of multi-tools. Usually there aren't enough usable features to justify carrying one around. However, this Kobalt 10 in 1 has earned a spot on my tool belt. It is a solid, well made product that combines most of the tools required for easy cutting, filing, reaming and trimming of plastic and rubber tubing, small plastic and PVC water lines and hoses, foam insulation and much more. Absolutely useless PVC cutter
I bought this multi tool to cut 1/2 inch PVC for a project. That was the main function of the tool and it is impossible to cut PVC with it. The other tools are probably fine so I’ll keep it like an extra Swiss Army knife. I would not recommend this item to anyone.
Great concept, poor execution
This tool is outright dangerous due to a design flaw. If you look at the flat blade screwdriver tool you will notice that the edge of it is a sharp blade. When I opened this tool for the first time I pushed against the side of the attachment to open it fully and immediately cut my thumb. There is NO REASON that this tool attachment should be sharpened, there is a knife blade attachment already on it, no need for two. Don’t waste your money
In my experience, the most often-used plumbing tool is a pair of pliers- this tool does not include pliers. I can’t imagine trying to use the “hacksaw” to cut hard plumbing pipe, I don’t know what in the plumbing world you could cut with it. The pvc cutter which will cut “up to 1/2” pvc pipe” is more of a pipe threader than a cutter. The tool isn’t even a good drip irrigation (where most of what you have to cut is soft tubing) multi-tool, in my experience and opinion.
