this hose can be used for potable water because it is RV or Mobil home rated. The hose and brass couplings are durable and reinforced at each end. I have used the hose for about three years and it has held up fine; it is durable overall. I gave it four stars because if you are reeling the hose or wrapping it up it will kink so use it properly stretched out all of the time and it is a great hose.

Terrible overpriced hose

I have a large yard and needed to replace two hoses. I went to my local Lowes and spent at least half an hour checking out all the hoses. I was mainly interested in brass couplers, no kink, and not being real heavy. I opted to buy this more expensive hose over other choices. But, it turned out to be a lemon. A very good heavy duty hose.

This Kobalt Hose is really heavy duty. The ends have nice hand grips on them. The fittings on the ends are good quality. At my house, the outside faucet in the garage is connected to the plumbing before the pressure regulator for the house. This means there is allot of pressure in any hose I connect to this faucet. This is a very nice water hose. It has brass fittings on both ends and a "Comfort Grip Sleeve" on each end. Both ends have a large nut that assists with attaching a nozzle securely with no leaking.
