What Customers Are Saying
The shelving unit is praised for its sturdy and durable construction, able to support heavy items. The assembly process is described as very easy, with some customers able to set it up in as little as 30 minutes. A few customers did receive damaged or defective units, and there were some complaints about poor customer service when dealing with these issues. Overall, the consensus is that this is an excellent, high-quality shelving solution when it arrives in good condition.

Both of the big box hardware stores in California offer very similar racks. If you read the recent reviews of the other guys' equivalent racks (don't sort by "most relevant", sort by newest), you'll see that they have changed suppliers and have all sorts of quality and handling damage issues. Though they do cost $50 less. The Lowes ones are made by a company called "JS Products Inc". JS Inc also make the much more expensive yellow shelving you may have seen. All the parts for mine (I have 2...

Easy to setup and well made
I bought four of these shelving units. There are nicely finished, strong and well packaged. No damaged parts. First Class all the way. Yes they were expensive, but they saved me time and labor in the end. Spend the $100 extra and you will be satisfied with the result. I bought a cheaper smaller unit and what a drag it was to set this inferior shelf unit with 3/8" thick MDF plywood deck. But don't put a heavy object, say 100lbs on the screen deck. Might have to cover it with 3/4 inch plywood for...

Hi Richard, thank you for your feedback and 5-star review!
Not getting it for 5 weeks
I found out on 11/25 that the second unit was being delivered that day. NO PRE WARNING. I was out of town. Called the Muscle Shoals manager who assured me it would be delivered the next week. Called on 12/14, yes, two weeks still no delivery and no contact why. They then scheduled for 12/16. Sat at home ALL day. Finally, an email came in saying a delivery was scheduled for 12/30 - FIVE WEEKS AFTER IT WAS SUPPOSED TO ARRIVE. Manager said sorry he could not control the delivery people. This is u...

Great Quality
Purchased 2 on sale, worth every penny, quality was evident. Assembly was straight forward, I assembled them by myself (if you're not mechanically inclined and safety conscious, don't do it by yourself). Used a wall as my second set of hands to get started and because the of the quality each piece fit perfectly. After unboxing and laying the pieces out and reviewing the directions, assembly took about 30 minutes. They are strong and sturdy, I will be buying more. Highly recommend!

Hi Navy Girl, thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback and assembly pointers. We appreciate it!
Large Heavy Duty Shelving
This product is very heavy duty and flexible/expandable. It is easily assembled without tools (including shelf locks.) The great thing for me is that they are also compatible with the more-expensive Gladiator Shelving line, but I think these look much better and are easier to assemble. I was able to get the first shelf completely setup within 30 minutes and that includes unpacking it from my vehicle. (The box is heavy ... I recommend two people... and sos does my back. hahaha)

Storage rack
I bought 2 Kobalt shelving racks. The one that is welded together and requires no tools to assemble is the one I recommend. Both are great shelves but the one that needs tools to assemble is very time consuming to assemble. Pay the extra and get the welded easy to assemble one and save your sanity!

High quality and very sturdy
I purchased 3 shelving units for a storage area at the hospital where I work. The units are large and sturdy and hold more weight on each shelf than I will need but appreciate their potential capacity. The shelving height is adjustable to accommodate whatever will be stored on each shelf. The wire shelves are smooth and easy to move items on/off. Due to the size/weight, I paid for delivery and the delivery guys were very helpful, pleasant, and careful with handling the boxes. Great product and e...

Came damaged
It's a quality product, but Lowes gave me one that was previously used, when i ordered a new one, and it came damaged. There was scratched and bent metal that made assembly difficult. The hardware bag was cut open, so i had to find all the pieces that got stuck inside the metal beams. Great shelves, but poor customer service

Archival Storage Shelves
These storage racks were ideal for our needs to store large County Journals and Ledgers. As an engineer myself, I was delighted to see how well everything fit together and how easy these units were to assemble. First rate storage racks that no doubt will be here for many years.
