I have used the rake twice and it has been great, strong handle and tines pull thru rocky soil very well.

A Superior Rake

I previously purchased a steel garden rake from a competitor of Lowes. It was a decent rake, or at least I thought so. Then a couple of weeks ago I was raking the property at our mountain cabin. The tines of the rake pulled out, rendering the rake useless. So, two days later I visited Lowes. I purchased their 60" fiberglass handle steel garden rake. In comparison to the other rake, the handle was longer and the width of the tines was bigger and the handle felt really comfortable in my hands. But...

Recommend this Rake

The rake is sturdy and yet lightweight. I used it to pull mulch off my trailer and spread it around 1500 square feet. My arms did not tire as quickly compared to when I used a wooden handle rake. Definitely a good choice and a fair purchase price.

Strong rake with great reach

Can't go wrong with Kobalt!

The fact that is was not a wooden handle sold me on it. I have had many a rakes go bad due to wood rot.

Sturdy garden rake

I bought this for my daughter and son-in-law who have 5 kids that are constantly using their gardening tools and forgetting to put them away when they’re finished using them. Since this rake doesn’t have a wooden handle it was perfect!

A top notch tool.

I have had so many rakes that come apart where the handle and rake connect, or the handle splits and breaks. It’s so frustrating to be pulling a pile of dirt and leaves and then the rake and handle separate. Or the rake is so cheaply made that the teeth break. This one seems to be well enough made that it won’t turn into a pile of garbage. I have pulled and pulled and it just keeps its integrity. This should last quite a few seasons.
