What Customers Are Saying
The adjustable wrench offers convenient one-handed operation, but some users report issues with the fit and mechanism, such as the jaws not providing a secure grip or the adjustment lever becoming stiff. While the tool is praised for its versatility, a significant number of customers express dissatisfaction with its overall quality and reliability.
Customer review summary generated by AI, including incentivized reviews.I have been a firm believer that this style of wrench ie crescent wrench wasn't a wrench that should've been made. So I had high Hope's for this one because it looks and feels like it was going to perform well. But I was wrong to have high hopes, because the first time I used it, it malfunctioned on me and now its locked in the closed position and the button does nothing to send it back to the open position. I hope Lowe's will take it back I'm so done with terrible tools like this and at 25 buc...
Wish I Had Thought Of This
Occasionally, some genius comes along and reinvents some ubiquitous thing like the wheel, the oven, or whatever. This is such an obvious improvement. The adjustable wrench has been around the entirety of my 55 years. It has always been the same. Indespensible, handy, .... ubiquitous. This new wrench is much better. Easier to use, and it has a scale, in both metric and standard, to let you know what wrench you should be using, which is yet another improvement. Easy, one handed use; easier than th...

Rapid adjust 8-in Steel/Plastic Adjustable Wrench
I like the idea that this wrench has this rapid adjust function. However when it comes to practical use, it didn't really secure tightly enough to the nuts, making it sometimes slipped out of the grip at tight places. Maybe, it works a lot better in an open space where I can get the grip flush against it.

Very snug fit
Fit real snug on a bolt. Only thing is it's a bit too snug as it makes it hard to get back on after taking them off without loosening the wrench completely. Works great otherwise!

Rapid Adjustable Wrench
The lever on the handle squeezes down nice and smoothly. Can clamp on a nut quicker that I could with my handy adjustable. What baffles me is the release button. Instead of the release button giving you the opportunity to loosen up the teeth slightly so you can reset the wrench (similar to the button on the Irwin channel locks) it throws the teeth back into the widest position. The button made me highly disappointed.

Kobalt 8-in Rapid Adjustable Wrench
The wrench works just fine as long as I am not trying to use it with a nut, but I tried four straight times to tighten a 1/2 nut and it would not close to that width. The handle would become hard and would not advance to the desired width. I finally put it down and got a KOBALT 1/2 closed wrench. I was disappointed as it seemed to be a great tool.

Hi Jerry, thank you for your feedback! We apologize for your disappointment in the tool. We will be looking into this further.

Perfect! Just perfect!
When looking for tools my only choice is Kobalt, I bought this wrench for $8.00 on clearance and it is the best choice I made. The grip ratcheting feature makes this hand tool more of a necessity for everyday projects than an option. The quick release button makes changing between sizes for applications a breeze and has now made its way to the top drawer of my tool box. Well done Kobalt!

Great idea, but....
How about the combo set a year ago this Ranch in a smaller one. I haven't used them much and then today I got out the large one. I never got it on a nut. When I press the button it stays depressed hand the Jaws do not open. I could push on the jaw and it would pop the button out but I can't get the Jaws open as even with the button down they don't spring open.
A closer fit than standard adjustables!
When I first saw this, I said "I got to get me one of these!" The squeeze closing mechanism, the button release, and the overall sturdy build made this a great addition to my tool chest (in spite of having three different sizes of standard adjustables). I like the infinite adjustment and close fit that you just can't seem to get very easily with the standard screw-barrel type adjustable wrench. Very pleased with product for price and lifetime warranty.

Fun to play with, but not good as a tool
The mechanics work great until it comes time to use as a tool. I tightened it down on the bolt so I can hold it still while I loosened the nut with a wrench, and when I was done, both the adjusting lever, and release button were stiff and tool was useless.
