Its a beast

I used this for the first time to frame a new front porch. It went through all the pressure treated wood with ease and never had to change the battery.

Takes a few minutes to really break in, but when it does it’s another awesome tool

Smooth cuts, great battery use

Great saw and made a lot of cuts with very little battery use on a 4ah battery. I’d probably try a smaller battery next time as the larger battery gets in the way of the forearm of the hand operating the saw. Takes a little getting used to holding it but still a great saw

overall a good unit

It is convenient to grab and use without having to drag an extension cord or generator around however if you use it a lot do not rely on a 2amp battery as it will drain quickly. A 4 amp battery was recommended by the store staff but I have a 2 amp battery for another Kobalt tool and the cost of a 4 amp battery or a battery and charger kit made this unit not very cost effective. Powerful Skill Saw

Very powerful 7 1/4" skill saw. perfect for cutting 2x4's and other large planks of wood. Works with my other Kobalt 24v batteries incase the Extreme battery is charging. I love that it can take the larger 7 1/4" blades.

Excellent for DIY

I am just a DIY person and only do one or two projects a year. But really need it when I do use it. It is a work horse. And the fact that I have other KOBALT tools ties in with the battery system.

Circular saw

My other brand saw died and I’ve slowly been switching everything over to Kolbalt since i seem to have less problems with these power tools. Plus the sale price was great.

I'm a professional framer and I've had this saw for almost a year now. First, the pros: the hook is convenient, especially when I'm in the rafters. The case the saw comes in is a decent case, very well designed. There's a place for a 4 AH battery and an *ah battery, and there's a place for saw blades beneath the saw. Works as it should, battery life is a little short so be sure to have some extras charged and ready

Base Plate off

I've attached Photos, but I would not recommend this particular saw based on its poor factory calibration. The photo with a gap was intentional to show the difference between the back of the blade and the front of the beginning cut portion. You can see it's off by about a saw blade's width. I've tested various blades and placed them on an Accu-Cut rip guide. All that did was jack up the guide. The saw will pull to the right regardless.
