Kobalt 24V Brushless Portable Band Saw Starter Kit

Has done well for me.

I've used this saw for roughly 3 years in an industrial/commercial environment. It's still doing well. The complaints about the blades breaking usually have little to do with the saw itself, barring one off tool defects that may occur. Band saw blades are just finicky, no matter the brand saw.

My new Kobalt bandsaw

I have been shopping for a new portable bandsaw and reviewed many online. I decided to go with Kobalt because I have many other Kobalt tools and batteries, and I’ve had really good results from all these. I like the size it’s a light enough to use one handed, has a rafter hook if you’re working up over your head. I do wish it had a second handle when using it on the bench. Overall, I like it a lot!

Great Tool As Are All My Kobalt's, but..

I only buy Kobalt tools. I think I have 90% of them now. The only issue I had with this is the blade that came installed on the tool was the wrong one for the tools rotation. The teeth are the incorrect direction. Took me about 5 seconds of trying to cut and getting nowhere until I realize the teeth issue. The best in it's class by far

I work in the commercial/industrial electrical field, so I use my bandsaw a lot, for cutting everything from conduit and strut to angle iron and thick copper cables. Before Kobalt released this I used a Milwaukee M12 fuel, which was great but after about a year and a half with Kobalt's bandsaw, I could never go back. First of all, the drawbacks -It's heavy. blade killer

I have broken 5 blades in this saw.there is no adjustment on blade tension.i believe the problem is the blade is way to tight it causes the blade to stress and crack.i put mine on the shelf till I can return it to lowes to trade it in on a different product.waste of money....

Faster than Hercules and Dewalt

I got the Kobalt band saw over a year ago and work great and I used it a lot. I have a Hercules and my brother has a DeWalt and the Kobalt is a lot faster GREAT SAW

Lightweight Portable Band Saw that Has Many Uses.

This 24V 2.5in portable band saw is such an amazing and handy tool. It is much lighter than other portable band saws I've used but with more power. Great bandsaw with a minor flaw out of the box...

First off, this compact band saw is great. Lightweight, lots of power, and great features. I ran a few cuts out of the box and noticed that each cut took a bit longer than expected. I bought a pack of extra blades made by Bosch and when I went to install it, I noticed that the factory blade was facing the wrong direction. I installed the new blade and it cuts really fast now. Not sure if anyone else experienced this issue but I am still quite happy with my purchase.

Solid portable tool

Last year I upgraded my old 18v Porter Cable tools to Kobalt. I’m a construction superintendent I’ve always found portable bandsaws to be very handy. I wanted one to go with the set and considered buying another brand but that meant a different battery and charger. I found this one and it finally came available and i jumped on it.
