Great Kobalt Tool

I purchased this saw in sept. to prune and cut down some small shrubs. The compact design is extremely helpful. I was able to get under the shrubs with the saw easily to make the precise cuts that I needed. the automatic oiling system worked great as expected. I operated this chainsaw for over a half an hour. there was still life left in the battery and there was no need to adjust the tension on the chain. Powerful for such a small chainsaw

I was pleasantly surprised at how powerful this chainsaw is, it made trimming my bushes easy.

Handy little pruning chainsaw

Looked for something to replace the hand pruning saw. This makes quick work of all of those little pruning jobs.

Great saw for climbing and pruning

I bought this saw as a backup for the one I bought several years ago. It's been used a LOT in my tree climbing and dead limb removal hobby. It's lasted far longer than I expected it would and I wanted another one handy. It's light but powerful and the battery lasts a long time. Do not try to use the top of the blade. You won't be able to control the kickback. The built-in guard is there for a good reason.

Great Little Chainsaw!

The best purchase this year! Love this handy chainsaw and so does my 80 year old mother who can use it easily. The runtime on the battery is pretty decent but I might grab another battery so we can use longer.

No parts

Bought this saw and used it for two hours. The saw cuts great, easy to control and use. The problem I have is that you cannot find a simple replacement part. I contacted both Kobalt and Lowe’s directly, after my oil fill cap hung on some brush, while cutting, and was lost. The saw is useless without the cap. I would not buy again had I known the Chinese parts are not available. Kudos to Lowes and Kobalt though, you can simply buy another one and use the original for parts.

I love my new mini chainsaw, it is so much nicer .

I order the mini chainsaw online, and the oil to use in it, they put the oil in locker fir me to pick k up. I didnt need the oil till I got the chainsaw, in the meantime it took over a week and still no chainsaw, so they returned the oil back to stock, I went to my Lowes, on west 10th street and 465, Indianapolis Indiana, to I quite about my chainsaw as it still said it wasnt in the locker, well they found the chainsaw, it was on a shelf behind the customer service desk, I never recieved a email...

Poor Ergonomics

I really wanted to love this saw. It checked all of the boxes: Plenty of power, Built-in oil reservoir, solid battery system and a good length. I think a 4-6 inch saw is perfect for trimming. If I need an 8" or longer saw I'll just get out my full size gas saw. BUT.. the safety switch is at such an awkward angle that it is too difficult to repeatedly press in-between cuts. Buyer Beware!!!

I bought this for my son for his birthday. I already have one and I line it very much. I thought he would too. Unfortunately, he already had a similar one from a different manufacturer. I told him no problem, I’ll return it and get a gift card for you to shop with and find something you like. Well, come to find out there is a 48 hour return policy on chains from Lowe’s. The box was never opened but they still wouldn’t give me a refund. Buyer Beware. I was very unhappy with the circumstances!!!

Awesome Small Chainsaw

This saw is exactly what I have wanted for a long time but could not find one that seemed to be serious quality. I have always found Lowe's KOBALT tool to be very good and I have several hand and powered KOBALT tools. When I saw this at Lowe's I bought one.
