Kobalt 24 Volt Outdoor Power Kit

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

Basically in two uses, the battery has a fault. Cobalt Customer Support is horrible. Contacted them, and they will not exchange out the battery. Went to the store and the store says that this item is no longer sold on Lowes.com. Basically stuck with a dead Cobalt battery and they not exchange it.

Broke on 3rd use.

I original bought this set back in 2018 and finally after years of use the trimmer body snapped. So back in December I bought this during a sale to replace my old set. Last week I was using it and the trimmer stopped responding mid use. Mind you this is only the 3rd time using it. The battery is charged, even tried using batteries from my other kobalt tools and nothing. Can’t even get a replacement cause this set is only sold around the holidays.

Decent tool, aftercare deficient

Bought with extended warranty 9 months ago. Been having line feed problem for past months, and finally head gave out. Per warranty instructions, called number on manual. No available part to fix trimmer and instructed to return to store for 'full refund' with authorization number and with 'ask store for extended warranty refund'. Went to store, spent 1/2 hour them explaining, store does not give refund with authorization number but to replace with same unit, and going back and forth with manager...

I ordered 2...the only thing I did not like was that I could not get the same price at the store. I had to order online. Not sure if that's the case or not but that is what I was told at the Sikeston Mo location. I don't understand why Lowes would advertise such a great price and not give you the option to get the same price in the store. Makes absolutely no sense at all. But overall the weedeater and leaf blower package was a great deal.

Received used items

When received the brand new item the box was ripped but FedEx said they accidentally tore top of it so no big deal but when got items out of box the weed eater and blower was in plastic but tge battery and charger were not in fact both have signs of wear on them! Oh and the battery that should have needed charged before use was already charged. But you could clearly tell the battery and charger were not new! Trimmer “bump string advance” works poorly

The string advance feature does not work well at all. I have to keep taking it apart to rewind the cord. I may return the trimmer if it doesn’t work better. As far as the blower wit is ok. I was expecting more power so it may get returned as well.

I was very disappointed when I received the delivery email and saw the photo. Right away, I noticed I had been sent a returned item. When I got home and opened the package, the leaf blower clearly had grass on it and had obviously been used before. This was supposed to be a Father’s Day gift, and now I have to go through the hassle of returning it. Receiving a used item when I paid for a new one is unacceptable and very frustrating.

I have bought 6 string trimmers and blowers over the years for my 5 brothers as birthday or christmas gifts. The first one I bought was about maybe 7 or 8 years ago. Handles well and not too heavy. I am on my 4th set. First set did well for about 1 season, then had trouble with the battery. The second set didn't make it 2 uses and the trimmer just stopped. They refunded me for the set and I bought the 3rd set. It made it almost 2 years before the battery stopped fully charging. I received the box damaged and all taped up. I was obviously sent someone else return item. The clerk ensured me that though the box was damaged through shipping that all the items was new and intact. Once I got home I opened the box and it was a mess. everything was all just shoved in and boxed up. The main disappointed was that the battery charger was missing.
