I just bought this today at the grab-and-go sale for $99. For that price it's hard to go wrong with this set. The regular retail of the set is upwards of $200 and similar sets from other brands go for even more. Great tools! Silly box! I’m sold on Kobalt tools, and have used them for years; both personally, and professionally. My issue is not with the tools, but with the silly plastic box they come in! What a complete waste of space! For all intensiveness, the tools come in plastic bags in the open bottom shelf. We bought this now-discontinued set at a great price. Unfortunately we ended up with two 11/16” twelve point sockets in 3/8” drive and were missing a 5/8” twelve point in 3/8” drive. A trip to our local Lowe’s later proved fruitless because they didn’t have the socket in stock and they said they couldn’t order it. They gave us the Kobalt customer service number instead. Pieces missing; flimsy case
Bought this on 10/14/21, am returning it today 10/16/21. I was excited to get this set. I had a Husky set that the case broke and I lost pieces over time, as well as having to try and stuff sockets back into the broken case every time I used it. So this was going to be the replacement. After getting it home I opened up the packs of sockets and wrenches. My set was missing one wrench, one extension, and four sockets. The box
The box is poorly made you cant move it or the tools come out or their holder and the handle wants to pull out of a hole. The lowes store told me they do not have this set in the store anymore to call kobalt customer service to request a replacement box as the original box was identified as being poorly crafted and the box was updated. It has EVERYTHING anyone needs
This is by far THE BEST tool set on the market. Ratchets easy, lefty loosie righty tighty. Unlike even more popular brands who refuse to simply get that right. (The switch on back, correlates to direction) easy to look and see which direction it’s going before use. I’ve bought multiple of this EXACT unit over the decades. Minor packing upgrades but same toolset. This one’s for the wife, I’ve had all my 10mm sockets in this set for 13+years, she’s not losing mine!

I would love to give this 5 stars, but I can't
The tools in this kit are great. The ratchets work great. The sockets are a bit hard for my ole eyes to read, but then so are most things these days. However, Kobalt has fallen into the trap of skipping sizes like so many other tool makers these days. It is infuriating to need a socket and the kit skips that size for whatever book keeping reason that is involved. This is not the reason I am withholding the 5th star. Tool Kit Not Assembled
Received the kit and the tools are not placed in their location slot. Tools are in a bag(s). First time I have ever bought a tool kit where the tools were not placed in their respective spot. I'm still sorting them out. When I went to insert the wrenches into their slot the plastic was way to tight. I had to take a screwdriver to open the slot. Some of the paint on the wrenches has broken lines. Quality control appears to be lacking.

Horrendous Box Construction
I have never seen a more poorly designed toolbox than the one this came with. After I purchased this at my local Lowe's, this box was driven straight home and set on a rack in my garage. It hasn't been manhandled or dropped and it's only been taken off twice. The top two drawers and the top tray have all fallen onto each other and the sides have pushed themselves out so now they won't hold any tray.
