Functional light but, could use improvements.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family was recently looking for a light to use in our home's hallway. We decided to go with Kichler’s Gartin 12.25-in Weathered Zinc Incandescent Flush Mount Light because, it appeared to be exactly what we were looking for and needed. While setting up and testing out our new light, we found several things we liked and disliked about it. My husband likes that, the setup process was easy and straightforward. But, he dislikes the materials an...

Perfect for the home bar
This is perfect to tie a bar theme together. There is some assembly required but it is very easy. They way I put it together was simple for me and might work for you to. First install the base to the box and then assemble the cage around it. I used antique looking LED lights to make the look work. The colors are made to be flat. Flat black for the base and a flat creamy white for the cage around it. Gives it an antique look without being gaudy or in bad taste. I have 8ft ceilings and this li...

Industrial look
This flush mount light has an industrial look to it kind of steampunk look,it also looks weathered.. This does not come with 3 bulbs, plus this light does not have any glass features. It's an open metal light with exposed bulbs. Personally I do not like the look but others would. This is a heavy metal fixture with lighter colored metal features. The metal features around the bulbs are suppose to look like white washed faux wood finish but I dont see it looking anything like wood. Three 40 watt b...

Modern
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the bare bones look to this light fixture. It almost looks homemade. I have pretty much an open concept, modern home. My kitchen opens up to my living room. I have a Kichler Cavelli 13 inch fandelier in my living room and this Kichler Gartin light fixture pairs nicely with it. The finish does feel rough so be careful when handling. I love the lighting effect this light gives off and offers the perfect amount of lighting. I used 3 medium...

Easy to install, good quality, looks good
This light fixture was exactly what we needed for our upstairs hallway. There is no natural light in the space, so it needed to provide a lot of light without being harsh. We bought amber light "edison" bulbs to go into the fixture, because you can actually see the lightbulbs in it. So they look awesome, and there are three bulbs so it provides plenty of light, but the amber edison bulbs are a soft, warm light. (you can also get "outside" light edison bulbs which would give you that brighter out...

Nice, well constructed light
The light is made out of all metal. You will have to put it together it took about 15 minutes although it is fairly easy. I would recommend wearing nitrile gloves because every time my finger nails hit the bronze pieces it left marks on them. The finish is not smooth it has a textured finish such as a powder coat would. The light did not come with bulbs. I chose to put the antique looking Edison bulbs in it. Overall I’ll rate it as a good quality light the only reason for the four stars is becau...

A Striking Upgrade!
This light replaced a rather "blah" ceiling light we had for years. We saw this light and thought it would add some "punch" to the room. After installing, we are extremely satisfied with the quality, amount of light and, most of all, the "look" this fixture brings to the room. The five metal straps create an interesting and pleasing shadow pattern across the ceiling. Very happy with this light. Additionally it was very easy to install with almost no tools required and straight forward instruc...

Excellent light - easy to install!
This Gartin 12.25-in Weathered Zinc Vintage Flush Mount Light was easy to install and looks great in my hallway. After taking the other light down, the two page instructions were easy to follow. It took a total of about 20 minutes to install and all I needed was a screwdriver. It takes three standard sized bulbs.I ended up with three LED 40 watt equivalent bulbs. The result looks great. I especially like the weather zinc look and shadow pattern across the hallway.
